Fernandez-Karlson

Wedding vows were exchanged by Daisy Karlson and Diego Fernandez on Dec. 31 in the Courtyard of the Board of Trade in New Orleans. Judge Barry Sims officiated.

The parents of the bride are Roselinda and Christopher Karlson of Stroudsburg, Pa. She is the granddaughter of N.L Gross-Tjan of Den Haag, the Netherlands.

The bridegroom is the son of Carmen and Dr. Agustin Fernandez of North Little Rock.

Honor attendants were Nicole Gabana, Nami Patel, Victoria Sommers, Reed Ryan, Raul Fernandez, David Koehler and Daniel Ford.

A reception at the Board of Trade followed the ceremony.

The bride graduated from Davidson College with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a juris doctorate from the University of Arkansas School of Law. She is clerking at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Birmingham, Ala., and plans to join the law firm of Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell & Berkowitz P.C. as a litigation associate in August.

The bridegroom also graduated from Davidson College with a bachelor’s degree in political science; he received a medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and is a resident physician of internal medicine at the University of Alabama in Birmingham.

The couple are living in Birmingham and plan an August wedding trip.
