Munchin’ on Main brings food trucks to downtown Morrilton

MORRILTON — Main Street Morrilton has partnered with the River Valley Food Truck Associatio­n to present Munchin’ on Main, a city market, kids activities and live music, on March 25 in downtown Morrilton. Main Street Morrilton will host the River Valley Food Truck Associatio­n’s inaugural Arkansas Food Truck Race.

Sponsorshi­p opportunit­ies for the event are available from $100 to $1,000 and will include recognitio­n in event publicity and foodtruck vouchers, and at the event. City market booths are available for $25 each on a first-come basis. Live music featuring Matt Stell and other local artists will begin at 5 p.m.

The Arkansas River Valley Food Truck Associatio­n has chosen Morrilton as the third stop on the six-city tour. Five food trucks from Northwest Arkansas will set up on Railroad Avenue, adjacent to the Morrilton Depot Museum, to compete for the title of Arkansas’ greatest food truck. Trucks will be open for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and for dinner from 5-8 p.m., or while supplies last. The four top-selling trucks will advance to the next location.

Main Street Morrilton is dedicated to promoting downtown Morrilton as the hub of community life, to instilling a spirit of community through various events, and to promoting historical awareness, preservati­on and renovation. Main Street Morrilton operates under the direction of Main Street Arkansas’ Arkansas Downtown Network Program.
