Orchestra’s chamber series features Tchaikovsky’s Trio
Arkansas Symphony Orchestra co-concertmaster Kiril Laskarov, violin; Stephen Feldman, cello; and Kara Benyas, piano, will play the Piano Trio in a minor, op.50, by Peter Ilich Tchaikovsky for the orchestra’s River Rhapsodies Chamber Music Series, 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Clinton Presidential Center, 1200 President Clinton Ave., Little Rock.
The orchestra’s Rockefeller String Quartet — Trisha McGovern Freeney and Katherine Williamson, violin; Katherine Reynolds, viola; and Ethan Young, cello — will play John Adams’ String Quartet No. 1.

Cleveland area-based Resonanz Opera will hold auditions, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. March 18 in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall, Fine Arts Building, University of Arkansas at Little Rock, 2801 S. University Ave., Little Rock, for its 2017 Singing Arts Festival, a three-week study program in conjunction with the Louise Davis Savage Mainstage Opera Festival, Aug. 14-27 in Willoughby, Ohio.

Resonanz bills itself as “a national opera company with a holistic approach to the development of top-tiered opera singers.” The festival will include performances of Maurice Ravel’s L’Enfant et les sortileges (sung in English), Francis Poulenc’s Dialogues of the Carmelites, Thomas Pasatieri’s Before Breakfast and Peter Skoggard’s La voix perdue.
Skok, a mezzo-soprano who has sung at the Metropolitan Opera, will also conduct master classes March 16 in Conway — 1:30 p.m. in the Snow Fine Arts Building, University of Central Arkansas, 201 Donaghey Ave., and 3 p.m. in Reves Recital Hall at Hendrix College, 1600 Washington Ave. Both are free and open to the public.
