PEGGY SUE’S PLACE

Restaurant makes patrons feel at home

-

People looking for more than just a place to stop in and grab a bite to eat can find something truly unique at Peggy Sue’s Place.

Peggy Sue’s Place not only serves excellent cuisine; the restaurant is home to a comfortable atmosphere that welcomes each customer through the door as if he or she is family. The restaurant is owned by Peggy Baad, with her husband, Rick, being a part owner as well. Peggy said she feels honored to welcome friends and family into the restaurant and to serve them great comfort food.

“We want to serve good Southern home cooking to people who are tired of fast food,” she said. “I love that so many people come who are friends and can eat and visit with one another.”

Peggy added that one couple recently came into the restaurant and said they felt as if Peggy invited them into her home for lunch.

That is how Peggy wants her customers to feel.

“I want them to feel special because they are,” she said. “I want to be the place where everybody knows your name.”

Peggy Sue’s Place has been open in Heber Springs for two years, but Peggy has been working in the industry for far longer. She said she has been working in the restaurant business for 40 years and that she loves being around people and making them smile.

The full-service restaurant offers homemade plate lunches, soups, pies and cakes daily, and offers breakfast all day. Peggy Sue’s Place is open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. seven days a week. Beginning May 1, the restaurant will be open until 10 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
