Patterson-Filipek

Weddingvows were exchanged by Laura Filipek and Grant Patterson on Saturday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in New Orleans. The Rev. John Restrepo officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Trisha and David Filipek of Little Rock. Her grandparents are the late Ruby and Edward Fitzgerald and the late Josephine and Joseph Filipek, all also of Little Rock.

The parents of the bridegroom are Vickie and Randall Patterson of Biloxi, Miss. He is the grandson of Will and the late Bettye Lackey of Meridian, Miss., and Alton H. “Lank” and the late Vera Kathleen Patterson of Biloxi.

Honor attendants were Sarah Johnson, Maya Johnson, Gregory Collins and the father of the bridegroom.

A reception at the Pavilion of the Two Sisters at City Park in New Orleans was held after the ceremony.

The bride is a graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in architecture. She is an architect/project manager for Torre Design Consortium Ltd. The bridegroom graduated from Mississippi State University with bachelor’s degrees in biochemistry/molecular biology and in chemical engineering. He is a chemical engineer and sales account manager for Baker Hughes.

The couple will make their home in New Orleans.
