New Eagle Scouts
Taylor Houston, 16, is the son of James and Jennifer Houston of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 232 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Little Rock. For his Eagle Project, he led a group in the sanding and painting of a fence at Pinnacle Mountain State Park.
William Dawson, 16, is the son of Richard and Ibis Dawson of Conway. He is a member of Troop 392 at the Peace Lutheran Church in Conway. For his Eagle Project, he constructed and installed bat and wood-duck boxes to support wildlife habitat improvements for the Ozark-St. Francis National Forests and Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.
Chase Garrison, 18, is the son of Michael and Cheryl Garrison of Russellville. He is a member of Troop 214 at the Grace Fellowship Church in Russellville. For his Eagle Project, he planted almost 600 pine and oak seedlings along the Orbit Lane Trail in Russellville.
Benjamin Whitfield, 15, is the son of Scott and Melissa Whitfield of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 12 at the Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church in Little Rock. For his Eagle Project, he led a group in the restoration of a pavilion at the Arkansas Audubon Nature Center.
Michael Broadwater, 17, is the son of Dr. Ralph and Anne Broadwater of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 29 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Little Rock. For his Eagle Project, he planted trees and improved landscaping at Echo Valley Park in Little Rock.
Stephen Clark, 17, is the son of Steve and Robyn Clark of North Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 18 at the First United Methodist Church in North Little Rock. For his Eagle Project, he researched honeybee conservation and coordinated a crew to construct four Langstroth Hives at the Toltec Mounds Archeological State Park.
Daniel Hasler, 17, is the son of Dennis and Christine Hasler of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 29 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Little Rock. For his Eagle Project, he built a shelter for patrons of the dog park at the Little Rock Animal Village.
Grant Dawson, 17, is the son of Charley and Stephanie Dawson of Hensley. He is a member of Troop 108 at the East End Fire Department in East End. For his Eagle Project, he built a memorial garden for Ironton Baptist Church in Little Rock complete with benches, birdbath and landscaping.
Andrew Barr, 15, is the son of James and Heather Barr of Conway. He is a member of Troop 71 at Conway’s First United Methodist Church. For his Eagle Project, he built a sand volleyball court at Conway’s First Baptist Church’s Family Park.
Phoenix Millen, 17, is the son of Jeremy Millen, Gwendolynn Combs and Michael Combs of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 30 at Saint Paul’s United Methodist Church in Little Rock. For his Eagle Project, he built a chicken coop for Camp Aldersgate. The chickens serve as therapy animals and provide eggs for the campers.
