Arkansas postcard past

Leslie, 1923

The photograph­er stood atop a bluff over the Little Red River looking down into the small timber town in Searcy County. The major employer for many years was a stave mill. “I am wirking South out of Leslie, bin down here almost a weak. I never have heard a word from any body since I have bin here.”
