Master Gardeners Meeting

Blues Concert

Plumerville Homecoming Gospel Singing
PLUMERVILLE — Plummerville United Methodist Church will host a singing from 6:30-8 p.m. as part of the Plumerville Homecoming activities, which will include the class of 1967’s 50th-year reunion. There will be no special homecoming services at the church this year. There will be a regular worship service at 11 a.m. Sunday. Groups and individuals are welcome to attend the singing, but most of the singing will be of a class nature. Light refreshments (potluck) will be served in Plummer Hall following the singing. Drinks will be provided.
Intermediate Sewing Class
CONWAY — The Sew Unique intermediate sewing class will meet from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursdays, today through Nov. 9, at the Brewer-Hegeman Conference Center at the University of Central Arkansas. FRIDAY AND SATURDAY World War II Living History Weekend
VILONIA — The Museum of Veterans and Military History,
53 N. Mount Olive, will present a free World War II Living History Weekend. At 7 p.m. Friday, there will be a Home Front Dance for all ages with music by the Monticello Jazz Quartet. Period costumes are encouraged. Saturday’s activities include an honor program for World War II Veterans, including a USO Show by the Conway Women’s Chorus, at 1 p.m.; a WWII re-enactment at 2 p.m., and the Liberty Parade at 2:45 p.m., as well as living-history camps, military and nonmilitary vehicle displays, a crafts fair and a military swap meet. The Vilonia Lions Club will sell hot dogs and hamburgers, and the museum will sell drinks and desserts.
Plumerville Homecoming
PLUMERVILLE — All Plumerville residents and former residents, graduates and former students of Plumerville School are invited to the 2017 Homecoming and Reunion. On Friday, Plumerville Masonic Lodge 253 will host a chili supper at 5 p.m. at the Plumerville Fire Department. On
Saturday, the Plumerville Youth Association will serve a pancake breakfast at 7 a.m., and the Homecoming Committee will sell hamburgers, drinks, chips and desserts at noon for $7. The Plumerville High School Class of 1967 will be honored at the reunion dinner at 6 p.m. in the gymnasium. Tickets are

Church St., will offer its Food for Fines Program through Oct. 31 so that patrons can help others while taking care of fines for overdue library materials. Patrons may donate nonperishable food items when returning overdue materials to erase the fine for that item, as well as other fines. Each food item represents $1, and up to 10 items may be used to cancel up to $10 of fines. Food may not be used to waive charges for items that are lost.
