–––––❖––––– ROBERT LEE FABING of Sherwood was born on November 15, 1969 and departed for the land with the streets of gold on October 21, 2017, just 1 day after his 10th wedding anniversary to his “one of a kind” love, Lynne.

Robert Fabing was the kindest, most loving man you could ever hope to know. He focused on himself last, if ever. His life was spent doing for others and never asking for a thing in return. God calls on us to be servants to others. His greatest example of this was Robert Fabing. He spent the last 28 years being the caregiver of his special needs son, Joshua. He was an amazing father, husband, son, brother, brother–in-law, Uncle, and friend. It will truly be impossible to fill his shoes. Thirteen years ago, by absolute chance, he met Lynne, who became his greatest love, and he hers. He gave up a life and a job in another state to come here, marry her, and become the husband so many people only dream about having. Life with him was absolutely amazing. Robert was a proud employee of Arkansas Air Flow, whose employees are like family, in Sherwood and the owner/operator of LHS Lawn Care. Robert was predeceased by his parents Leo Fabing and Linda Calvert. Robert leaves behind so many people who love him and can’t wait to see his smiling face when he greets them at the gates of heaven.

These people include his loving wife, Lynne Whiteley Fabing of Sherwood, Ark.; his son, Joshua Allen Fabing, also of Sherwood; his older brother, Todd Fabing, now stationed at Fort Sill, Okla.; a younger brother, Troy Fabing of Missouri; two “bonus sons” (his words) Patrick Reed Looney and Caleb James Looney, both of North Little Rock, Ark.; his stepfather Michael Calvert of Springdale, Ark.; five nephews, three nieces, and so many people who loved, admired, and respected him.

A Memorial Service celebrating Robert’s life will be held from 6-8 pm on Thursday, October 26 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Rd., North Little Rock, Arkansas. Pastor Harold Nash will officiate. Online guest book may be accessed at www. griffinleggettresthills.com. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you “be a Robert” and find at least one person in need and help them with their needs for as long as you can. The world needs more Robert Fabings.
