MERLE NORMAN & MORE

Community is foundation of company’s success

-

For more than 30 years, the Merle Norman brand has been a makeup mainstay in Morrilton. It’s the place where Merle Norman & More owner, Brandi Cooper, had her first makeover and took a job while attending college, and that was why she was eager to continue the tradition when she had the opportunity to buy the shop in 2006.

The store has been selected by the Merle Norman Home Office as one of 20 stores out of nearly 1,500 to be a pilot/test studio for new acrylics and merchandising materials.

Merle Norman & More offers affordable skin care and color cosmetics for all skin types, preferences and ages in a complimentary try-before-you-buy experience. Merle Norman’s Shimmerstick recently was chosen as the No. 1 eye shadow in the InStyle Readers Choice Awards.

“I’m excited about our new products and upcoming Christmas gifts,” Cooper said. The gifts include a 24K Gold Firming Foundation Primer, which features 24 karat gold flakes designed to energize and make the skin look radiant. Cooper also mentioned the Knockout Nudes Eye Shadow set, which consists of 10 neutral shadows.

The boutique also offers tuxedo rentals, bridal registries, ear piercing and trendy merchandise. Items include personalized jewelry, PJ Salvage sleepwear, Dear John and Miss Me Jeans. Also available are purses and wallets from Vera Bradley, Hobo and Steven; clothing from designers such as Ethyl, Piko, She + Sky, Angry Rabbit, Noelle and Blue Pepper; trendy shoes from Naughty Monkey and Not Rated; and dinnerware by Vietri, Skyros and Split Pea; along with fragrances, accessories, home decor and more.

“Our Christmas Open House will take place from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 19, and will include promotions, discounts and refreshments,” she said.
