Mortar exercises set at NLR camp
The Arkansas National Guard will conduct mortar training Monday at Camp Robinson in North Little Rock, which is likely to cause noise or tremors that could affect neighboring communities, according to a news release from the guard.
The training, involving high-explosive rounds and aerial-illumination flare rounds, will take place in the north-central part of Camp Robinson, near the Faulkner County line, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The guard said nearby communities that may notice the effects of the training include: Cato, Gravel Ridge, Mayflower, Runyon Acres, Sylvan Hills, and rural areas of northern Pulaski County.
