Jackson named Manager of the Year

BATESVILLE — Peggy Jackson has been recognized as the 2017 Manager of the Year by the Arkansas Chapter of the National Institute for Government­al Purchasing. Jackson is the purchasing specialist for the University of Arkansas Community

College at Batesville.

Jackson began her career in purchasing at

Ozarka College in October 1997. She holds a

Bachelor of Science in Education degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayettevil­le and earned her Certified Profession­al Public Buyer

(CPPB) certificat­ion in 2007and her Certified

Public Procuremen­t Officer (CPPO) certificat­ion in

2013. She received the Edward J. Erxleben Award for Excellence in Procuremen­t in 2015 and is a member of the National Associatio­n of Educationa­l Procuremen­t.

Some of the qualificat­ions for the recognitio­n include serving as a chapter board member or officer; developing a special survey study or report for the chapter; and serving as a committee chair for a specially appointed committee. Nominees must also make significan­t contributi­ons to the advancemen­t of purchasing, as well as profession­al developmen­t contributi­ons.
