Jackson named Manager of the Year
BATESVILLE — Peggy Jackson has been recognized as the 2017 Manager of the Year by the Arkansas Chapter of the National Institute for Governmental Purchasing. Jackson is the purchasing specialist for the University of Arkansas Community
College at Batesville.
Jackson began her career in purchasing at
Ozarka College in October 1997. She holds a
Bachelor of Science in Education degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and earned her Certified Professional Public Buyer
(CPPB) certification in 2007and her Certified
Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) certification in
2013. She received the Edward J. Erxleben Award for Excellence in Procurement in 2015 and is a member of the National Association of Educational Procurement.
Some of the qualifications for the recognition include serving as a chapter board member or officer; developing a special survey study or report for the chapter; and serving as a committee chair for a specially appointed committee. Nominees must also make significant contributions to the advancement of purchasing, as well as professional development contributions.
