The Farmhouse earns beautification award
ARKADELPHIA — Shaylah Montgomery is the owner of The Farmhouse retail shop in Arkadelphia, which has been awarded the Community Beautification Award by the Arkadelphia Area Chamber of Commerce Board. The board recognizes businesses quarterly that have improved the exterior facade of a visible building within the community. The Farmhouse, at 636 Main St., sells fair-trade items, home decor, clothing, healthy living essentials, soaps and more.
“The Farmhouse is a prime example of growth in a small community,” said Shelley Loe, executive vice president of the Arkadelphia Chamber. “When local citizens invest in our community, it shows pride and promise for the future. This woman-owned business is a great asset to downtown, and just in time for the holiday season.”
“We’re very excited and grateful that this business graces our downtown area,” said David Goodman, board president of the Arkadelphia Chamber.“The work they’ve done on the exterior, as well as the interior, of this great location only improves the look and feel of our thriving downtown. The energy and excitement of this new store is definitely refreshing to the business community.”
