BETTY ANN HEATHERLY, 66, of Little Rock, and formerly of McCrory was born January 14, 1952 to Paul and Grace Shannon Gaines. She passed away Friday, June 1, 2018.

She is survived by her daughters, Amy Hughes (David Feild) and Angie Shy (Ben); grandsons; Jack and Jonah Shy; and siblings; Dorothy Smith, Tommy Gaines, Susan Hill and Margie Headley. Betty was preceded by her parents; husband and father of their children, Skipper Hughes; second husband, Dickie Heatherly; and brother, Danny Gaines.

Memorials may be made to Pulaski County Humane Society, 14600 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72210.

A visitation will be held at 1 p.m, Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street; followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m.

Clytice was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in North Little

Rock, where she served on the Altar Guild, taught Sunday School and sang in the choir for many years. She retired from the original Twin City Bank, where she held the title as a V.P. and Branch Manager. During her banking career of over 40 years, Clytice was a member of the Sherwood Chamber of Commerce and Sherwood Civil Service Commission. She was awarded the Paul Harris Fellow award for her accomplish­ments and involvemen­t in the community.

Clytice is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Sylvia Wesson.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, P.J.; her daughter, Karen (Gordon) Graves of Cabot; her son, Paul (Cielita) Koehler of Sherwood; grandson, Paul J. III (Destiny) Koehler of Arkadelphi­a; great grandson, Paul J. IV. her brother Raymond Scott (Marge) of Joshua Texas, and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a visitation for friends and family at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, June 4, 2018. Funeral Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3802 N. Olive St., North Little Rock at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, June 5, 2018. Burial to follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents and children, Jonathan and Bethany Meredith; sisters, Betty Winterhold­er and Sylvia Campbell. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 47 years, Joann Wiggins Meredith; son David (Ashley) Meredith, daughter Leah (Joel) Motes, daughter Angie (Jason) Herring, son Andrew (Ellen) Meredith; eight grandchild­ren; three great-grandchild­ren; siblings, Lillian Byerly, Stanley (Beverly) Meredith, “Buster” Meredith, Geneva (Dwight) Weyand, Tommy Meredith and Earnest (Leone) Meredith, Jr..

–––––❖––––– KITTY JO PIETZUCH was born on Mt. Nebo, Arkansas on August 22, 1924.

She spent her childhood on

Mt. Nebo and in Dardanelle, Arkansas with her mother, father, and two sisters. She left home to join the U.S. Marine

Corps during

World War II, and was stationed in Camp Lejeune, N.C. After the war, she worked in New York City at the Federal Reserve Bank for several years. She returned to Little Rock, Arkansas where she married Joseph Pietzuch. There they raised their only child, Melissa, who lives in Portland Oregon with her husband, Mike.

While living in Little Rock, Kitty Jo worked as a pattern tester for the knitting company Leisure Arts. She created countless afghans, sweaters, socks, hats, and more, many of which were featured on covers of the Leisure Arts Magazine. As a master knitter, Kitty Jo shared her skills generously, teaching her granddaugh­ters and countless others in knitting groups that she organized in Arkansas and Oregon.

Kitty Jo was a very active member of Second Presbyteri­an Church for decades, involved in her Sunday school class, organizing Young at Heart speakers, and serving in the Soup Kitchen.

Kitty Jo traveled extensivel­y over the years, both within the U.S. and throughout Europe, Mexico, South America, and Australia, usually to visit her three grandchild­ren and four great-grandchild­ren. She passed away peacefully on May 16, 2018 at the age of 93. Kitty Jo is survived by her daughter Melissa (Mike), grandchild­ren Erick, Christina (Hector), and Molly (Angus), and great grand-children Sebastian, Eve, Lucia, and Lindsay.

–––––❖––––– DOROTHY BURROW POWELL, 84, of Little Rock, Arkansas, died Saturday, June 2, 2018, in Little Rock. She was born June 29, 1933, daughter of the late Lester E. Burrow, Sr. and Nell Weir Burrow. She was also preceded in death by brothers Lester E. Burrow, Jr. and Frank Miles Burrow.

Dorothy loved her family and many friends. She was an active member of Second Presbyteri­an Church, serving as an usher and greeter and volunteeri­ng in the church office. Playing bridge weekly brought her joy and was always willing to fill in when needed. She was co-founder of the “Poor Old Things Trump & Travel Bridge Club” which was founded in 1961. She volunteere­d at St. Vincent’s Hospital and UAMS for many years.

She is survived by her children Cliff Powell (Susie) of Coppell, Texas, and Caren Marvin of Dickson, Tenn. She is also survived by grandchild­ren Matthew, Jake and Courtney Powell and Amber (Shane) and Ashley Marvin and Great Granddaugh­ter Riley Anne Rosson, sister in laws Marlyn Burrow, Cheryl Burrow and several nieces and nephews, who she loved dearly.

She was blessed to have had a best friend, Nancy Weber (Harlan) for over 60+ years, who was always there for her, especially this past year and will always be cherished for her friendship.

Much appreciati­on and many thanks to the 2nd floor staff at Briarwood for their compassion and care that was shown towards our Mother.

Memorials can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.

Services will be at 2nd Presbyteri­an Church in Little Rock on Tuesday, June 5th, at 11 a.m.

Dorothy was a true servant of God and lived her life joyfully, never complainin­g and eager to help others in any way she could, living a life well lived.

DR. ELDON GERALD SCHULZ, 64, passed away Saturday June 2, 2018 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He is survived by his wife of 35 years Margaret Ann Brink Schulz; daughter, Kestin Margaret Schulz and son-in-law, John Christie of Hillsboro, Oregon; daughter, Kari

Loretta Schulz of Little Rock, Arkansas; sister, Dr. Marlys

Schulz Luebke and nephew,

Austin of Corsica, South Dakota; and niece,

Sarah of Boston, Massachuse­tts.

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister Mavis, brother-in-law, Douglas Luebke, and brother-in-law, George Brink.

Born May 10th, 1954 in Parkston, South Dakota to Erich and Loretta (Brech) Schulz. Eldon received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Idaho, Moscow, his MD from the University of South Dakota, his Residency of Pediatrics from the University of California, San Diego, his Developmen­tal/Ambulatory Pediatric Fellowship at the University of Massachuse­tts Worcester. He spent 6 years with Margaret in Heidelberg, Germany working with the Exceptiona­l Family Member Service as a civil servant in the military. Margaret and Eldon moved to Little Rock, Arkansas in 1991.There, he became the Professor of Developmen­tal Pediatrics at UAMS. During his time at UAMS, he supported numerous programs including the James L. Dennis Developmen­tal Center, CoBALT, LEND,Easter Seals, the State’s Human Developmen­t Centers, and DHS. In 2008, he received the Rockefelle­r Endowed Chair for Children with Special Needs.

He was an advocate for children and families affected by developmen­tal disabiliti­es, a bright star, a wonderful husband and father, an ideal older brother, a supportive uncle. He had a deep regard for all people, always actively listening, and he made everyone feel important. He had a great zest for life.

A pre-service reception will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 5th, at Grace Lutheran Church followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at Mount Holly Cemetery in Little Rock.
