3, 2018. Gaylen was born on

July 4th, 1947, in Waterloo, Iowa; the son of Merle and Marjorie

Schuck. Gaylen grew up on his family’s farm in

Iowa, and always loved being outdoors.

Gaylen is preceded in death by his father, Merle Schuck of Parkersbur­g, Iowa. He is survived by his mother, Marjorie Schuck Oligschlae­ger, age 96, of Brooklyn, Iowa; wife of 52 years, Linda, and their two sons, Scott (Gena) Schuck and children, Daniel (Westminist­er, Co), Caitlin (Matt) Hanks, Suzanne (Dallas,Texas), Samantha, Jacob and Benjamin Schuck in Edmond, Okla., Ryan (Angel) Schuck (Nashville, Tenn.), and children Cassady Schuck (Savannah, Ga.), Austin Kestner (Freeport, Fla.), Hollie (George) Bryant (Savannah, Ga.), Hunter (Kory) Kestner (Crestview, Fla.), and Autumn Kestner (Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.).; nine great-grandchild­ren, Hydi, Nolan, and Romyn Schuck (Westminist­er, Co); Kyle, Addison, and Emilia Hanks (Edmond, Okla.); Emmaline Bryant (Savannah, Ga.), Hudson Kestner-Johnston (Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.), and Demi Kestner (Freeport, Fla.). He is also survived by his two sisters, Diane (Norm) Meester of Springfiel­d, Missouri, and Becky (Hank) Jungling of Aplington, Iowa. As well as a younger brother, Russel (Gail) Schuck of Holiday Lake, Iowa; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. As well long-time friend Anna Duin and god-children Tenae, Joshua, and Sean from Craigmore, S. Australia.

Gaylen is a veteran of the United States Army serving from 1966-1969. Gaylen worked for Edward Jones and Company as a financial advisor from 19882018, was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Arkadelphi­a, a current member of Rotary Club of Arkadelphi­a as well as the past president and District Governor for 2011-2012. He is a major donor to the Rotary Internatio­nal Foundation. As well as a former Mason to the 32nd degree.

Gaylen enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley-Davidson, working on his cars, meeting with his daily coffee group at Andy’s restaurant, spending time with his family, grandchild­ren, and great-grandchild­ren. He will be missed greatly by his family, and all those who knew him during his life.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 6th at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home. Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 7th at First United Methodist Church in Arkadelphi­a with Bro Bill Cato officiatin­g. January 9, 1942 in Enid, Oklahoma to Max and Mary (Van

Nort) Loving.

Becky loved spending time with family and friends. Whether it be playing tennis and skiing in her early years, or golfing and Mahjong most recently, her love for life shone in her smile and in everything she did. She always wanted to live life to the fullest and that is exactly what she accomplish­ed.

She is preceded in death by her parents. –––––❖––––– NEWPORT — William Emerson Conner III, “Bud,” died on July 3, 2018. He was born on August 4, 1951, in Newport, Arkansas, to William Emerson Conner Jr., and Katherine Stokes Conner. He lived the first ten years of his life in Fitzhugh, Arkansas, then moved with his family to Newport, where he lived the rest of his life. He attended the Augusta and the Newport Public Schools, and then the University of Arkansas. He was a farmer.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents, and by his cousin, Robert Holden Conner. He is survived by two sisters, Ann Conner Dillard and Martha Conner McNair, by his brotherin-law, David Malcolm McNair, Jr., by one niece, Lucy McNair Tschetter and her husband, Matt, one nephew, Emerson Conner McNair and his wife, Allyson, three great-nieces and one great-nephew. He is also survived by his uncle, John L. Conner Sr., his aunt, Mary Alice Conner, and his cousins, John L. Conner, Jr., and his wife, Andrea, and Mary Alice Alleger and her husband, Rob.

Dake was employed at Burlington, Inc. for many years, was owner/operator of Wilmar Grocery for 22 years, and also an employee of Mr. Bug Pest Control. He loved to be outdoors, whether it be to hunt or fish, tend his garden or visit with neighbors. He was a skilled carpenter, often making beautiful pieces for family and friends. Most of all, he placed his faith in Jesus Christ and lived his life as a devoted husband and father and loving grandfathe­r.

He is survived by his wife of almost 58 years, Gloria Austin Pennington; sons, Mark Pennington and wife Diane and Brandy Pennington; a daughter, Karen Fuqua and husband Mark; grandchild­ren, Logan Fuqua and wife Maxine, Karla Pace and husband Dale, Samantha and Sarah Pennington; great-grandchild­ren, Emma and Dayton Pace and Kael Fuqua; brothers, Nolan Pennington and wife Aurelia, and Clyde Pennington and wife Dixie; sisters, Ann Bolin and Sherrion Adair and husband DeWayne; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
