Allied Therapy & Consulting Services ..............

-

For 25 years, Allied Therapy & Consulting Services has provided developmental, speech, occupational and physical therapy to residents of Cabot and surrounding areas. “We concentrate on the needs of the entire family when serving a child with any need,” said Stacey Spence-McMinn, administrator and board member for the nonprofit groups Beyond Boundaries, an equine-assisted therapy center, and Leaping Beyond, a modified sports camp for children with disabilities. “We understand the importance of how family dynamics can be changed when a family is faced with the health challenges of a child.” The staff works with families to create individualized treatment plans because staff members believe each child’s needs are different. The company also utilizes alternative treatment options, such as aquatics, hippotherapy (equine therapy), massage, sensory feeding/picky-eating therapy, multisensory reading tutoring and other research-based programming. GOOD TO KNOW: Most of Allied Therapy’s staff members have been with the company for more than 10 years and hold bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees or doctorates in their specific fields. “We want our staff to go above and beyond in awareness of the whole child,” Spence-McMinn said. “Each therapist pays attention to family needs, medical needs, social needs and siblings’ needs.” For additional information, visit www. alliedtherapy.com or www.beyond boundariesar.org.
