LR woman charged in beau’s stabbing

A Little Rock woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend in the neck early Saturday is behind bars, police said.

Officers arrested Dawn Nicole Nysten at her residence in the 100 block of Burnside Drive about 2 a.m., a report shows. Nysten was in an argument with Christophe­r Robert Hauck, 50, that turned physical, authoritie­s said.

A witness saw Nysten walking around upset while Hauck was asleep on the couch before the stabbing. Nysten was under the influence of drugs or alcohol and could not give a statement, police said.

The 42-year-old is charged with second-degree battery and was being held without bail at the Pulaski County jail as of Saturday evening, records show. She is to appear in court Friday.

Barbecue fork said to be used in attack

A Little Rock woman is accused of stabbing a man with a barbecue fork, police said.

Police arrested Robin Alexander, 28, about 2 a.m. Saturday at her residence in the 7100 block of Indiana Avenue, according to a report.

During an argument with the victim, Kenon Givens, Alexander grabbed the fork and struck him in the face, cutting his lip and the inside of his mouth, police said. She then stabbed him in the right shoulder, the report said.

Givens was transporte­d to CHI St. Vincent Infirmary, police said.

Alexander faces a charge of second-degree battery and was being held without bail at the Pulaski County jail as of Saturday evening, records show.
