MARY HELEN SOLOMON SAMUEL STEVEN DAVIDSON
Mary Helen Solomon became the bride of Samuel Steven Davidson at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 21, in Second Presbyterian Church. Officiating were the Rev. Steve Hancock of the church and the Rev. Beth Humphrey, chaplain at St. Albans School, Washington.
The bride is the daughter of Mary Margaret and Dr. John Alan Solomon of Little Rock. Her grandparents are the late Edith and John Solomon of El Dorado and the late Mary Jo and George Sayre of Rogers.
The groom is the son of Luanne and Steven Davidson of Nashville, Tenn. His grandparents are the late Shirley and John Davidson of Columbus, Miss., and the late Evelyn and Richard Lewis of Starkville, Miss.
The altar was centered with an urn arrangement of coral peonies, roses, dusty miller, orange snapdragons, white Dutch stock and bells of Ireland. Music was by organist Adam Savacool and the Arkansas Symphony String Quartet.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a sheath-style gown embellished with laser-cut white lace. She wore a cathedral-length veil hemmed with lace also worn by her sisters at their weddings. She carried a bouquet of coral peonies, roses, blue delphinium and orange and pink ranunculus.
Serving as the bride’s honor attendants were her sisters, Sarah Beth Davis and Anna Blair Williams, both of Little Rock. They wore blue printed chiffon dresses.
Bridesmaids were Anne Solomon of Little Rock; Sarah Leach of Collierville, Tenn.; Grace Keith of New York; and Gabriella Herman and Kathleen Rall, both of Nashville. They wore luxe-chiffon gowns of serenity blue. All the attendants carried hand-tied bouquets of peonies, roses, delphinium, ranunculus and dusty miller.
Serving as groomsmen were the father of the groom; James Robilotta of New York; Rob Williams and Ben Mosley, both of Nashville; Rob Earp of Medellin, Colombia; Ben Grier of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and Chap Williams of Little Rock.
Guests were seated by Matthew Solomon, brother of the bride and Samuel Solomon and Bennett Solomon, nephews of the bride, all of Fort Meade, Md.; Patrick Solomon, brother of the bride, and Fred Davis, both of Little Rock.
A reception was held at the Clinton Presidential Center. Guest tables alternated tall arrangements of wedding flowers on gold stands with gold compotes filled with peonies, roses, silver dollar eucalyptus and ranunculus. Music was by the Memphis Soul Revue.
The bride has a bachelor of arts from Rhodes College in Memphis and a master’s degree in education from Vanderbilt University in Nashville. She is director in the dean of students office at Vanderbilt.
The groom has a bachelor’s degree from Samford University in Birmingham, Ala. He is co-founder of Batch, curators of locally made artisanal goods from Nashville and across the South.
The couple will make their home in Nashville.
