WEDNESDAY First Wednesday Ladies’ Lunch Break

CONWAY — The First Wednesday Ladies’ Lunch Break will take place from noon to 1 p.m. in the Second Baptist Church Student Center at Dave Ward Drive and Farris Road. Native American Flute

FAIRFIELD BAY — William Worden, flute maker and musician, will bring his handmade instrument­s and stories to the Fairfield Bay Community Education Center from 9-11 a.m. Worden is an Artist on Tour and an Artist in Education with the Arkansas Arts Council. THURSDAY  SATURDAY Old Soldiers Reunion Parade

HEBER SPRINGS — American Legion Post 64 will host the annual Old Soldiers Reunion Parade at 6 p.m. Thursday. The parade will start at Harps Grocery and end at Spring Park. Lineup will be at 5:30. Prizes will awarded for floats: first place, $500; second place, $350; and third place, $250. The theme is “United We Stand,” and there is no entry fee. The parade will be followed by a carnival in Spring Park and other activities Friday and Saturday, including a beauty pageant. SATURDAY Book Signing

CONWAY — The Faulkner County Library, 1900 Tyler St., will present Jamille Rogers Thomas, an Arkansas author who has a new children’s book, Be Kind. Be Brave. Be a Hero.

Thomas, along with the book’s illustrato­r, Monica Garcia, will host an autograph session at 10 a.m. and take pictures with guests. The book portrays the young life of an AfricanAme­rican male baby boomer who, with strong family values, manages to overcome his negative experience­s of integratio­n and bullying. Elvis Tribute Concert

RUSSELLVIL­LE — Donny Edwards, a multiaward-winning and internatio­nal touring Elvis tribute artist, will perform at 3 p.m. at the Center for the Arts. Edwards re-enacts each era of Elvis’ life and career, including the early years of rock ’n’ roll in the ’50s, a ride through the ’60s with Elvis’ biggest movie hits, and the legendary Las Vegas years of the ’70s. Scotland Senior Center Game Day

SCOTLAND — The Scotland Senior Center, 11759 Arkansas 95,

Luau at the Lake

Pewter Casting Class

FAIRFIELD BAY — The Fairfield Bay Community Education Center will offer its Pewter Casting class from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Master caster Fred Zeiler will teach the skill of carving and casting jewelry or tokens. Neighbor’s Table

RUSSELLVIL­LE — Neighbor’s Table is a free meal from noon to 1 p.m. every Saturday at All Saints’ Episcopal Church, 501 S. Phoenix Ave. The doors open at 11:30 a.m. with free coffee. All are welcome to attend this no-pressure, no-questionsa­sked free lunch. Neighbor’s Table now sends home sack lunches to guests who come for lunch. All Saints’ has a Loaves and Fishes ministry, which accepts Sunday-morning offerings at the altar of necessitie­s such as cereal, peanut butter, shelf-stable milk, toilet paper, toiletries, hand soap and detergent to be distribute­d at Neighbor’s Table. Fun in the Sun! Art Exhibit

CLINTON — The art exhibit Fun in the Sun! is on display at Ozark Health Medical Center on U.S. 65 in south Clinton. The collection, which will hang through Aug. 6, features 46 original paintings by various local artists. Art is located in the hallways near the cafeteria on the upper level and in the outpatient wing on the lower level. The paintings are for sale for $15 to $350. Community Teaching Garden

CONWAY — The Faulkner County Master Gardeners will have a community teaching garden in front of Freyaldenh­oven’s nursery, at the corner of Siebenmorg­en Road and Bob Courtway Drive. The group meets there at 9 a.m. the first and third Saturdays of each month through September. All are invited to attend and learn to grow their own food.

Friday Night Kruzn

Humane Society Benefit Bingo
