Mount Nebo Chicken Fry DARDANELLE — The 71st annual Mount Nebo Chicken Fry — Chicken, Pickin and Politickin — will take place atop Mount Nebo in Mount Nebo State Park. Tyson’s award-winning cooks and Dardanelle Area Chamber of Commerce volunteers prepare chicken strips, smoked chicken and all the fixins. Arts and craft vendors will open at 10 a.m., chicken dinners will be served from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and political speeches and the pie action will run from noon to 2 p.m. The event will also include the Chicken Fried 10K, an art show, log sawing, wood splitting, horseshoe pitching, live music and more.
