JOAN BURCHAM, age 81, of North Little Rock, Arkansas passed away September 8, 2018. She was born in Conway, Arkansas on August 19, 1937, the daughter of Willie Harley Wofford and Mammy Lu Taylor. She is preceded in death by her brother, John Raymond Wofford and her husband of 54 years Billy J. Burcham. Joan devoted her life to her husband and five children. AKA “Wild’s Mom”, her unconditio­nal loyalty was evident in anything that she did and was a big part of who she was. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Joan was and is an exceptiona­l model of integrity and grace. She will be respected eternally and truly loved by all.

She is survived by sons, Tom, John and wife Kimberly, Lonny and wife Clara, daughters, Loretta and husband Ed Tucker and Donna Burcham, grandchild­ren Tommy, Sarah, Carmen, John, Emma, Billy, Jese, Kelly, Ray and Diamond and great-grandchild Kolton.

A memorial service will be held Sunday September 23, 2018 at 3 p.m. at The Road Barrons Clubhouse 1920 West Long 17th Street, North Little Rock, Arkansas Wilson Robison Funeral Home of England, Arkansas in charge of the arrangemen­ts.

JOYCE ANN WHITE HALL, 80, of Sherwood, Arkansas passed away September 20, 2018.

She was born November 10, 1937 to the late James Ebb and Sally Lou Starnes White in Warren, Arkansas. Joyce was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church and worked in the banking industry for 35 years. She enjoyed sewing and quilting and loved singing in the choir and was a member of The Women Active for Christ.

Joyce is survived by her husband of sixty years, Donald Hall; sons, Jay Hall, of Jonesboro, and Richard Hall (Donya), of Greenbrier; grandson, Beau Hall, of Cabot; granddaugh­ter, Rachael Hall of Conway; brother, James White, of Dermott; and sisters, Patricia Landers (Mack), of North Little Rock, and Mary Morton (Leon), of Morrilton; along with a host of extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Kathryn Garner, Martha Murry and Sue Golsby; and brother, Gene White.

Visitation will be held Sunday, September 23, 2018 from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. at Smith-Sherwood Funeral Home, 7700 Hwy. 107, Sherwood. LONNIE F. JOHNSTON went to be with the Lord on September 19, 2018. He was born September 12, 1940 at Vilonia, AR., the baby boy of a family of eight children.

Predeceasi­ng him are his parents, Elmer and Myrtle Johnston, four brothers, Wess, Eugene, Odell, and Bobby and one sister, Mary Pearline Jay. Left to morn his passing are his wife of 52 years, Patti of Sherwood, and a sister Erkle Jones of Vilonia, a brother Bill of Texas and two sisters-inlaw, Sybol and Inge Johnston, both of North Little Rock, and an abundance of nieces and nephews.

Lonnie served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was known to say, “Once a Marine, Always a Marine.” He was an educator for 40 years. Teaching in North Little Rock and Pulaski County Schools for 31 years and Arkansas State University for nine years.

He loved to travel with Patti and made many trips out of the country, and also enjoyed camping with friends all over the United States. Lonnie was also a proud Deacon of Levy Baptist Church, North Little Rock.

The family would like to thank Kindred Hospice and Premier Nursing and Rehabilita­tion for the loving care they gave Lonnie in his final days.

CARLISLE — Ralph E. Parris, 88, of Carlisle, Ark. passed away on September 18, 2018. He was born February 13, 1930 to Richard Parris and Grace Spann Parris Edmonson. He was a retired railroad employee and cattle farmer.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother and sister, Marilyn Carter. Ralph is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ruth Fleenor Parris; his daughters, Jan Parris Rivers and Dee Parris Plummer; four grandchild­ren, Justin Varnadore, Jana Collins, Robyn Hogue, and Autumn McGaugh; three step-grandchild­ren; 17 great-grandchild­ren; sister, Floy Moody; and a host of family and friends.

CROSSETT — Bishop Joe Baylor Mason, 73, of Crossett, Ark. died Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Life Touch Hospice in El Dorado, Ark. He was a native of Lawson, Ark. and a resident of Crossett for 49 years. Bishop

Mason was the pastor of Living Word Church of God in Christ, a veteran of the U.S. Army, and a retiree of Georgia Pacific Chemical Division as a lab technician after 25 years of service. He received a Certificat­e of Theology from C.H. Mason Bible College in Atlanta, Ga., and a Master of Theology Degree from United Seminary and Bible College in Monroe, La. He was a board member of United Theologica­l Seminary Crossett Campus and founder of Northside Mission COGIC in Bastrop, La., where he pastored for 38 years. On November 11, 2012, he was consecrate­d to the Sacred Office of Bishop and appointed Jurisdicti­onal Prelate of the Arkansas Third Jurisdicti­on Church of God in Christ, Inc.

Bishop Mason was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth B. Mason; his father, O.B. Mason; two sisters, Roberta Williams and Lillie Faye Mason. He was an inspiratio­n to all who knew him. He loved leading people to Christ, watching westerns, and going fishing. He never met a stranger.

Survivors include his wife of over 52 years, Laretta Manning-Mason; one son, Victor B. Mason of Crossett, Ark.; one daughter, Loretha Johnson of Crossett, Ark.; one god-daughter, Monique Cooper Hollingque­st (Virgil) of Bastrop, La.; mother, Arcie Norman-Gentle of El Dorado, Ark.; two brothers, Ray Charles Gentle of El Dorado, Ark. and James Mason of Chicago, Ill.; three step-brothers, Cal, James, and Chris (Katherine) Tucker all of Hamburg, AR; four sisters, Alberta McBee (Elmore), Flora Moody Crumes (Keith), both of Lake St. Louis, Mo., Mary Ezell Wallace (Samuel), of El Dorado, Ark., and Ollie Faye Mason, of Chicago, Ill.; four step-sisters, Sue Gibbs, of Gena, La., Annette Davis, of Winfield, La., Maxine Tucker, of Little Rock, Ark., and Marva Jo Gumble of Memphis, Tenn.; seven grandchild­ren; and three great-grandchild­ren.

PARAGOULD — Connor Thomas Aikman, age 20, passed away on September 17, 2018, in Fort Polk, Louisiana.

Connor was born on October 24, 1997, in Clarksdale, Mississipp­i, to Daryl and Mechelle Aikman. He graduated from Greene County Tech High School in Paragould, Arkansas, in 2016. In March 2018, he enlisted in the Army. Connor graduated AIT at Fort Benning, Georgia, in July 2018, and was later stationed at Fort Polk, Louisiana.

Connor was a family man and was greatly loved by his peers. He enjoyed spending time gaming and playing basketball with his friends. His family and friends will always remember him as a godly, caring person. He was the 4th generation of Aikmans to serve in the U.S. Army. He was a joy and a blessing to his family.

Connor is survived by his parents, Daryl and Mechelle Aikman, of Paragould; sister, Devan Aikman, of Paragould; grandparen­ts, Wayne and Robin James, of West Helena, Arkansas; and great-grandmothe­r, Helen Goodman, of Hot Springs, Arkansas. Connor was preceded in death by his maternal grandmothe­r, Laverne James, of Hardy, Arkansas, and grandparen­ts, Thomas and Janice Aikman, of West Helena, Arkansas.

The family will receive friends Sunday, September 23, 2018, from 2:30-4 p.m. at Southside Community Church, 2211 Jones Road, Paragould, Arkansas. SARDIS — Scott Richard Kilbury, 50, of Sardis, passed away on August 28, 2018. He was born on October 5, 1967, in Little Rock, Ark., Scott is survived by his mother, Annette Bryan of Scott, Ark., and several family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Kilbury, step-father, Ernie Bryan, brother, Billy Sharp and grandparen­ts. Scott was a loving son and peacekeepe­r. He graduated from John L. McClellan High School in 1986 and Diesel Mechanic School in Houston, Texas, directly out of high school. Scott will be fondly remembered by all who loved and knew him. STUTTGART — Glindal Sue Green, 77, went home to be with her Lord on September 19, 2018.

She was born, Glindal Sue Benson, in Augusta, Ark., on November 16, 1940.

She graduated from Augusta High School and then moved to Little Rock, Ark., where she worked as a secretary. She married her husband, J.W.

Green Jr., on January 25, 1961. The couple moved to Stuttgart, Ark., in 1964, where she lived until her death.

Glindal was an active member of the community and her church, First Baptist Church of Stuttgart, Ark., where she worked in the nursery, taught Sunday school and served on numerous committees. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 1994 with a B.A. in communicat­ions. Her joys were her husband and family. Her favorite activities were reading, cooking, serving in the church and traveling. Her special gift was making people feel warm, safe and special.

Glindal was preceded in death by her father and mother, Lynville and Lottia Benson; her sister, Doive Clauden Benson and her twin sister, Lindal Lou Bridenbaug­h. She is survived by her husband, J.W. Green Jr.; her two sons, J. Bradley Green and Jeffery Garriott Green and her daughter-in-law, Lisa Gayle Green. She is also survived by her brother, Edward Allen Benson; her sister, Dotse Mae Stratton; and her five grandchild­ren: Sara Christine Green, Jacob Quenton Green, Mary Grayson Green, Jeffery Garrett Green Jr. and William Peyton Green. She is further survived by several nieces and nephews.
