–––––❖––––– GOSHEN — Dale “Sting” St­in­g­ley, age 83, of Goshen passed away Wed­nes­day Oc­to­ber 10, 2018. He was born March 5, 1935 in Boswell, Ok­la­homa, the son of Leon Al­fred and Josephine Barker St­in­g­ley.

Ma­jor St­in­g­ley was a re­tired of­fi­cer and pilot of the United States Air Force. He was a Viet­nam vet­eran with mul­ti­ple tours of duty, awarded many dec­o­ra­tions in­clud­ing the Dis­tin­guished Fly­ing Cross. Fol­low­ing his re­tire­ment from the Air Force, he earned an MBA from the Uni­ver­sity of Ar­kan­sas. He sub­se­quently be­gan work at the U of A Com­put­ing Ser­vices De­part­ment, even­tu­ally be­com­ing the Direc­tor of Pro­duc­tion.

Among his many vol­un­teer en­deav­ors, Dale ini­ti­ated the creation of the Goshen Vol­un­teer Fire De­part­ment, and coached youth base­ball.

He is sur­vived by his wife Nancy, sons Richard and By­ron, and grand­daugh­ter, Kyla.

Vis­i­ta­tion will be held 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Mon­day Oc­to­ber 15, 2018 with Fu­neral Ser­vice start­ing at 10 a.m. at Moore’s Chapel. –––––❖––––– LAVACA — Mr. John Ed­mond Woods Jr., age 43 of Lavaca, Ar­kan­sas for­merly of Prescott passed away Tues­day, Oc­to­ber 9, 2018. Mr. Woods was born in Hope, Ar­kan­sas on July 11, 1975, to John Ed­mond Woods Sr. and Vickey Woods.

His most re­cent as­sign­ment was Pro­fes­sor of Mil­i­tary Science of the ROTC pro­gram at the Uni­ver­sity of Ar­kan­sas at Ft. Smith. He was a mil­i­tary vet­eran with over 26 years of ser­vice, in­clud­ing a tour to Iraq of Op­er­a­tion Iraqi Free­dom. He was a Ma­jor in the U.S. Army, and in his years of ser­vice ac­quired many medals and badges. He was awarded the Mer­i­to­ri­ous Ser­vice Medal, Army Com­men­da­tion Medal, Com­bat In­fantry­man Badge, Air As­sault Badge, Sniper Qual­i­fi­ca­tion, Air­borne Badge, Gover­nors Twenty Badge, and mul­ti­ple other ser­vice and achieve­ment awards. He was a grad­u­ate of Henderson State Uni­ver­sity in Arkadel­phia with a BSE. He also at­tended the Church of Christ.

He is pre­ceded in death by his fa­ther, John Ed­mond Woods Sr. Sur­vivors in­clude his lov­ing wife of 23 years, Rhonda Sim­mons Woods of Lavaca, Ark.; mother Vickey Woods of Prescott, Ark.; three sons: Alexan­der Woods, Ni­cholas Woods, and John Ed­mond Woods III all of Lavaca, Ark., daugh­ter, Ha­ley Woods of Lavaca, Ark.; two sis­ters, Shar­lene Jones of Al­bu­querque, N.M, Vic­to­ria Woods from Mag­no­lia, Ark.; in-laws, Johnny Ray and Kathy Sim­mons of Dierks, Ark., brother-in-law Danny Ray Sim­mons of Dierks; two nieces, two neph­ews, and many friends and loved ones.

–––––❖––––– PERRYVILLE — It is with a deep and heavy sad­ness that we an­nounce the death of Glen Wilkins of Perryville, Ar­kan­sas, who passed away at the age of 74, on Oc­to­ber 11, 2018. Glen was born in Lit­tle Rock on Au­gust 30, 1944, and spent the last 25 years mak­ing his home in Perry County. He was a skilled sheet me­tal crafts­man, whose rep­u­ta­tion as “Mr. Fix-It” was over­shad­owed only by his ser­vant’s heart. Glen was a de­voted fol­lower of Christ, and a mem­ber of Tem­ple Mis­sion­ary Bap­tist Church. A per­fect day for Glen in­cluded steaks on the grill, the Ra­zor­backs on TV, and the wild laugh­ter of his six beloved grand­chil­dren.

Glen was pre­ceded in death by his par­ents. He is sur­vived by his bride of 37 years, Gina (McDon­ald) Wilkins; his sons, Alan Wilkins and Brian Hen­ley; his daugh­ters, Ali­son (Wilkins) Knight and Marie (Hen­ley) Shap­ley; his sons-in-law, Dil­lon Knight and Jeremy Shap­ley; his grand­chil­dren, Rocky, Lou, Sam, Ezra, Lane and Ol­lie; and his si­b­lings, Fay­dene Gray, Mike Wilkins, and Garry Wilkins.

He was born July 2, 1934, in Par­nell Springs, Ar­kan­sas, to the late James Edgar Bryant and Or­rie Clide War­ren Bryant. In ad­di­tion to his par­ents, he is pre­ceded in death by his brother, Billy Gene Bryant.

Harold was a re­tired Con­struc­tion Co­or­di­na­tor for Ge­or­gia Pa­cific. He loved to work, fish and spend time with his great-grand­chil­dren. He was a mem­ber of the Men’s Sun­day School Class at Im­manuel Bap­tist Church of War­ren.

He is sur­vived by his wife, Dean Hoyle Bryant of 63 years, daugh­ter, Glenda White (Ron) of Hot Springs, son, Wade Bryant (Jacque­line) of Sheri­dan, grand­chil­dren, James White (Vic­to­ria) of Hot Springs, Josh Bryant (Katy) of War­ren and Brit­tany Hack­ett (Crock­ett) of Green­brier, Ark., and six great-grand­chil­dren.

H.D. was born on April 29, 1942, in Wat­son to the late Robert Sylvester and Lina Mae Rana Spainhouer. He was a mem­ber of the First Bap­tist Church in Du­mas and a lo­cal farmer and re­tired af­ter 51 years.

He was pre­ceded in death by his par­ents, one son, Steven Spainhouer, three broth­ers, Bobby, Jim Bill and Jap and three sis­ters, Opal, Mil­lie and Mary Jane. Sur­vivors are his lov­ing wife of 55 years Car­olyn Rupe Spainhouer, one son, Shawn Spainhouer, two grand­chil­dren, Alex and Zack Spainhouer, and a host of nieces, neph­ews and spe­cial friends.

–––––❖––––– WEST FORK — Gary Dean Ful­ton, 65, of West Fork, went home to be with Je­sus on Oc­to­ber 11th in Fayetteville. He was born Oc­to­ber 22, 1952 in Mem­phis, Tenn., to Lyle and Edith Ful­ton.

Gary and his fam­ily moved back from the mis­sion field in 1999. He spent his adult life serv­ing the Lord, lov­ing peo­ple, and point­ing them to Christ. For the past three years, Gary and Su­san have been run­ning Love Be­yond Bor­ders, a min­istry based non-profit that sends church groups to Cen­tral Amer­ica.

He was pre­ceded in death by his par­ents and two in­fant broth­ers. Sur­vivors in­clude: his wife Su­san of 45 years; six chil­dren: Stephen Ful­ton (Robin), El­iz­a­beth Cun­ning­ham (Jeff), An­drew Ful­ton (Al­yse), Caleb Ful­ton (Mishael), Abi­gail Var­gas (Cito), and Gabriela Dixon (Mike); 10 grand­chil­dren, one great-grand­child; three si­b­lings: Ron­nie Ful­ton (Loretta), Jackie Ful­ton (Toni), and Tammy Horne (Steve); one sis­ter-in-law, Janet Woods (Richard); eight nieces and neph­ews; and two great-neph­ews.
