An Oct. 4 article about the insurance-fraud prosecution of Kittie Louise Payton, 55, of Little Rock incorrectly described how the state Department of Insurance received information from Lavenia Bell. Bell, Payton’s cousin, was interviewed by a private investigator working for an insurance company, who provided that interview to authorities, according to court records.

Tyson Spradlin of Little Rock is the attorney for manslaughter defendant James Daniel Sparkman, 25, of Little Rock. Spradlin was misidentified in an Oct 6 article about a hearing in Pulaski County Circuit Court.
