Benefit attendees stay high and dry
The weather didn’t cooperate for an outside party Oct. 25 at the Arkansas Arts Center, but that didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits.
The 6th annual Fountain Fest moved inside the Arts Center so guests would stay dry on the rainy night. Maria Davison, the arts center’s communications manager, said this year is the first time the event had to move indoors due to weather.
Organized by the Art Center’s Contemporaries, Fountain Fest is centered around a surprise art installation in the Carrie Remmel Dickinson Fountain in front of the Arts Center. This year, the fountain featured the works of Arkansas artist James Hayes.
Money raised supports the purchase of new artworks for the Arkansas Arts Center Collection and Contemporaries projects benefiting the the Art Center.
