SAU falls to Lincoln

Zoi Thompson led Lincoln (Mo.) with 18 points and added five rebounds in leading Lincoln to a 64-55 victory over Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia on Friday night in the season opener for both teams.

Lincoln shot 25 of 52 from the floor and outrebounded Southern Arkansas 34-25.

Brett Wacha led Southern Arkansas with 12 points, Lena Maledon added 11 and Ariana Guinn had 10 points.

Southern Arkansas shot 17 of 54 from the floor, including 8 of 26 on three-pointers.
