Tyson set Tuesday to host analysts call

- — Nathan Owens

Tyson Foods Inc. will hold an earnings call with analysts at 8 a.m. Tuesday to discuss the company’s 2018 fourth-quarter and fiscal-year results.

Tyson’s earnings report for the quarter that ended Sept. 30 will be released before the call. The public can listen to the call by dialing (844) 890-1795. Replays, slide shows and transcripts of the call will be made available later on Tyson’s investor website.

Wall Street investment firm Zacks predicted Friday that Tyson will post a quarterly profit of $1.33 per share. Stephens Inc. analyst Farha Aslam recently raised her quarterly projection to a profit of $1.42 per share on strong beef and pork sales, resulting in full-year earnings of $6 per share.

Tyson lowered its outlook for the year in July as markets reacted negatively to U.S. trade disputes with China, Canada and Mexico. Since then, Tyson shares have climbed about 6 percent on the New York Stock Exchange. Tyson shares rose 58 cents to close Friday at $62.08.
