Myers and Van Pelt move up at Conway Corp
CONWAY — Conway Corp recently announced the promotions of Eleise Myers and Tony Van Pelt.
Myers has been promoted from commercial sales account executive to business solutions sales engineer. Myers was hired in August 2008 as a customer-care specialist and has spent the
Past six years in her role as commercial sales account executive.
“When Conway Corp launched business telephone services, Eleise was charged with introducing phone solutions to our customers,” said Crystal Kemp, chief marketing officer. “Her new position reflects the work she has done to help customers identify and implement business solutions in telephone, internet and fiber solutions.”
Van Pelt has been named director of safety and emergency management. He will evaluate work environments and provide
Van Pelt direction in safety practices, procedures and activities to prevent workplace injuries. He will also coordinate utility operations within the community during emergencies.
Van Pelt started working for Conway Corp in August 1985 as a groundman in the electric department. He spent four years as a groundman and seven years as a lineman before moving to the role of system designer, where he has spent the past 22 years before this promotion.
“Throughout his long career with Conway Corp, Tony has demonstrated a willingness and desire to perform his duties with excellence and integrity,” said Tracy Moore, chief financial officer. “I believe our safety department will be the beneficiary of Tony’s strong work ethic and will become a department to be emulated by other utilities throughout our region.”
