Phil Mickelson survived a wild finish without having to deal with the rain. Jordan Spieth endured a wet finish to his day with three tough pars. Both were atop the leaderboard at 10 under on Friday at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, joined by Lucas Glover, Paul Casey and Scott Langley, when the second round was suspended because the rain had formed large puddles on the greens. Jason Day was at 9 under with three holes remaining at Spyglass, while Ernie Els had a 68 at Spyglass and was at 6 under. It was the first time Els had posted consecutive rounds of 60s in the same tournament on the PGA Tour since June 2017. Austin Cook (Jonesboro, Arkansas Razorbacks) finished his round, shooting a 2-over 74. He was 3 under going into the weekend.
Taylor out front
Ben Taylor had the best round of the day, a 5-under 65, to take the lead Friday at the Panama Championship in Panama City. Steve Marino (68), Chris Baker (69), Nicholas Echavarria (68) and Xinjun Zhang (70) were tied for second place at 4 under. Mickey DeMorat (68) and Carl Yuan (68) were tied at 3 under. Matt Atkins (Henderson State) shot a 68 and was even going into the weekend. Taylor Moore (Arkansas Razorbacks) had a 71 and was 3 over after Friday’s round. Patrick Sullivan (Maumelle, UALR) did not make the cut.
Parnevik leads by 1
Jesper Parnevik shot a 9-under 63 on Friday in the Oasis Championship at Boca Raton, Fla., to take a one-stroke lead over Bernhard Langer. Parnevik had four consecutive birdies on Nos. 4-7 on his final nine on The Old Course at Broken Sound. Langer closed with birdies on Nos. 17 and

Mark Calcavecchia had a 72. Hal Sutton shot 73 in his first start on the tour since May 2017. Glen Day (Little Rock) and Ken Duke (Arkadelphia, Henderson State) were tied in a pack for 31st after shooting 2-under 70.
Kaufman moves up
Kim Kaufman moved to the top of the leaderboard at the LPGA’s Vic Open at Barwon Heads, Australia, after a 7-under 66 gave her a two-stroke lead after two rounds. The American had a 36-hole total of 13-under on Friday, two better than Japan’s Haru Nomura. Australian Su Oh was another stroke behind in third. Overnight leader
Felicity Johnson of England was seven strokes behind after a 2-over 74. In the men’s event being played concurrently with the women’s tournament, first-round leader Nick Flanagan shot a 4-under 68 and was tied for the second-round lead with fellow Australian Jason Scrivener. The men and women are teeing off in alternate groups over two courses at the 13th Beach Golf Links.
