Went the extra mile
Most of the time when I think I should write a letter to the editor, it is in a negative mode. Today, however, is a horse of a different color.
This to point out a very good occurrence: On the 22nd of January I found in the day’s post a Christmas card from a long-lost cousin. We had no contact for more than 25 years. She called another long-lost cousin and got an address for me and turned the card over to the USPS for delivery to me. Nothing unusual as yet; however, the address on the card was last my correct address in April 1994.
Yet less than a month after Christmas, the USPS carrier placed the card in my mailbox.
A big hooray for the mail carrier and the great service. I have reconnected with my cousin and greatly appreciate the extra mile the USPS gave. Thank you.
