KEY LARGO, Fla. — It is with great sadness that the family of Maxine M. Kiernan Bagg announces her passing at home (Ocean

Reef, Fla.) on

Friday, February 1, 2019 at the age of 99 years. She was born April 22,

1919 in Arkadelphi­a, Arkansas to Dave and Nellie Montgomery.

Maxine is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings. Maxine was a potent competitor on the golf course, skeet range and in life. Maxine, former “Miss Atlanta” of 1940, will be forever remembered by her children, Kathryn Kiernan (Judith) and Monty Kiernan (Rain), as a loving, caring mother. Maxine will also be always treasured by her granddaugh­ter, Erin Frigerio (Jason), and great grandson, Leonidas.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the family plot, DeRoche Cemetery, in Bismarck, Ark.
