ANTHONY “ANDY” BAGGETT, 41, of Little Rock, Ark., formerly of Emerson, Ark., passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at the University of Arkansas of Medical Science in Little Rock. Andy was born on September 27, 1977, in Center, Texas. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, David and Tonya Jo Baggett.

Andy was a graduate of Emerson High School. He was an avid golfer, loved photograph­y, and reading. He was employed at The Alibi in Little Rock.

Andy is survived by his cousin, Kim Burgay Mock of Nacogdoche­s, Texas. He is also survived by his beloved friends, Donna Nix of Eureka Springs, Ark.; Matt, Melissa, Hudson, and Avery Mathews of Magnolia, Ark.; Russ Belt of Haynesvill­e, La.; Casey and Karen Whitehead of Magnolia, Ark.; Jason Browne and Olivia Klak, Sunny Roller, Amy and Daniel White, Carla Rackley, Erin Crow, Liz Maxey and Ronnie Daniels, Will Keadle all of Little Rock, Ark.; and Andy and Cheryle Nix of Emerson, Ark.

BETTY BREWER, 83, of Little Rock passed away Sunday, February 17, 2019. She was born March 24, 1935, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Charles and Myrtle Gill Manson.

Betty is survived by her husband of 63 years, Harley Brewer; five children, Garry Brewer, Sr. (Sandra) of Redfield, Rebecca Wilson (David) of Bryant, Pamela Loveless (Tommy) of East End, Michael Brewer (Norma) of Mabelvale and Paul Brewer (Tonia) of Redfield; nine grandchild­ren, Stacy Herring, Garry Brewer, Jr., Janna Wilson, Charles, William and Dustin Brewer, Heather Escovedo, and Christophe­r and Austin Brewer; three great-grandchild­ren; and three brothers, Bobby, Bill and Harold Manson. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, David Manson and her sister, Ruth Nicholas.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, February 21, 2019, at Olive Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Little Rock. Burial will be in Olive Hill Cemetery. NANCY HALL DUTTON, 84, of Little Rock went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ February 16, 2019. Nancy was born on April 17th, 1934, in Little Rock to J.V. and Ruth Wilson Hall. On June 1, 1958, she married the love of her life, Bill Dutton, and they raised four children together. She was passionate about her faith in God, her family, raising dogs, and writing stories and poetry. She was a loving and high spirited wife, mother and grandmothe­r with a wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed vacationin­g with her family and was equally at home at the beach or in the mountains. Nancy’s memory will be honored by the deep love of her family and the joy and anticipati­on of seeing her again in heaven.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother, Vernon Wyatt Hall. She is survived by her children, Anna Dutton of Fayettevil­le, Ark., Tyler Dutton (Paula) of West Fork, Ark., Heather Murski (Matt) of Fayettevil­le, Ark., and Shane Dutton of Little Rock; her grandchild­ren Emmalyn Smith (James) of Lowell, Ark., Lauren Wigginton (David) of Lowell, Ark., Rachel Fitzgibbon (Taylor) of Fort Worth, Texas, Sarah Ply (Dustin) of North Little Rock, and Nicholas Griffiths of Fayettevil­le, Ark.; her great grandchild­ren Jack Wigginton, Henry Wigginton, Amelia Smith and Bailey Smith all of Lowell, Ark., and her sister-in-law Maeline Hornbeck (Gene) of Little Rock.

ROY “BUD” HOPKINS, age 83, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019, at Baptist Hospital in

Little Rock. Bud was born on January 21, 1936, in Texarkana, Texas, to the late Roy H. Hopkins, Sr. and

Mary Ethel Biddle Hopkins. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Nannie M. Oliver.

Bud grew up in Texarkana and graduated from Texarkana High School in 1954. In 1955, Bud went to work for Kroger in the meat department and worked as a meat cutter for Kroger in Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas for 43 years. He retired in 1998 from the Kroger on Baseline and Geyer Springs in Little Rock. He made many friends throughout his 43 years at Kroger and loved them all, especially his customers.

Bud was a devoted model railroader who loved trains. He was a member of the Cotton Belt Rail historical Society in Pine Bluff, Ark. He was a vendor every year in the Cotton Belt Train Shows in Pine Bluff and the “Rail and Sprues” Train Shows in Jacksonvil­le. Being in his train building brought him so much joy, whether it was running trains for his grandchild­ren, showing off his trains to friends, or just being alone running trains. He was always happy when he was with his trains.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Julia Hays Hopkins of the home, his daughter Tammy Porter (Jeff) of Glen Rose; three grandchild­ren, Tara Dorminy of Rogers, Brad Porter (Paige) of Glen Rose, and Kyle Porter (Sydney) of Little Rock, two great-grandchild­ren, Hadley Grace and Jackson Hays Dorminy of Rogers, his best friend, Duane Toki of Little Rock, and many family and friends.

A visitation will begin at 10 a.m., Wednesday, February 20th, 2019, with a funeral service immediatel­y following at 11 a.m. at Pinecrest Funeral Home, (7401 Highway 5, Alexander, AR). Roy will be laid to rest after the service at Pinecrest Memorial Park. DOLORES R. KUCA of Little Rock, died February 16, 2019, at her home. She was born November 28, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of John and Matilda Wayda. Dolores proudly served for over thirty years as the Department of Agricultur­e’s

County Executive Director for both Cook and Dupage County, Illinois. She was also a member of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Associatio­n (NARFE) and she served as the former chairperso­n for the Alzheimer’s Associatio­n.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Kuca and her parents. Survivors include her children, John Kuca, Jim Kuca, Regina Kuca, Larry Kuca and Gary Kuca; grandchild­ren, Sarah Kuca-Sikora and Katie Kuca; and three sisters, Ann Wodarczyk, Jane Koss and Noreen Koss.

He was born February 16, 1957 in Memphis, TN.

After spending his early years there, he found himself in Batesville where he made his mark as a Dental Sales Representa­tive at

Pro Dentec. He put his natural gift of being a “people person” to use there, traveling all over the United States, meeting people through work that would become personal friends, keeping up with him even to this day. That’s the type of impact David made on the people he met. He loved sports and his family, even merging his passion for the two as he coached his sons youth baseball team. He was known as a kind, loyal, and generous husband, father, and friend, or “pops” as his grandchild­ren call him. He is preceded in death by his parents David and Francis Hazel Simpson, and his brother Danny Simpson. He is survived by his son Ross Simpson and daughter Lynnsey Baird and husband Marvin, and two grandchild­ren, Bennett and Brooks Baird, and his girlfriend Dale Anne McClellan. Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was born November 2,

1942 in Old Town,

Maine. Shari lived in Jacksonvil­le Arkansas for over

45 years and was a Catholic, homemaker, volunteer, and accountant.

She enjoyed birdwatchi­ng, bingo and bowling on LRAFB as well as animals. In her later years, she enjoyed using her iPad to keep up with family and friends. She was predecease­d by her husband, John R. Watts; mother, Mary Louise Dubay; and father, William Russell Bimson.

She is survived by sisters, Pearl Pizzedaz, Jeannette Morton; sons, Charles (Ellen) Howland, Jr., Jeffery Cox, and Steven (Toni) Cox; and daughter, Lt. Col. (Ret. Army) Shari Corbett; five grandchild­ren, three great-grandchild­ren; best friend, Marvis Vondrachek Sauer.
