OVERVIEW

The University of Arkansas is consistently ranked as one of the nation’s top public universities and best values. It is classified among the 2.7 percent of institutions nationwide with the highest level of research activity.

ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

The U of A offers more than 200 academic programs, more than any other university in Arkansas. Several of its colleges and programs rank among the best in the U.S. Nowhere else in the state can students experience the range of majors, classes, research opportunities and access to worldclass faculty and cutting-edge facilities offered by the U of A. Its graduates are state governors, Fortune 500 CEOs, scientists and novelists. They’re nurses, teachers, architects, engineers and lawyers.

VISIT CAMPUS

There’s no better way to learn about the U of A than to visit the campus. Meet students and experience Razorback traditions, such as the Senior Walk — with the names of more than 186,000 U of A graduates engraved into miles of campus sidewalks. The university has invested more than $500 million into campus facilities during the past several years, transforming the campus with new residence halls, academic buildings, arts facilities and other amenities.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL

The university offers a number of resources and programs for underrepresented students, including the Razorback Bridge Scholarship Program, Silas Hunt Scholarships and the Engineering Career Awareness Program. In addition, a new scholarship initiative, Advance Arkansas, provides support to new, returning and transfer students from Arkansas who exhibit some financial need, a record of academic success and a strong desire to complete their degree at the University of Arkansas.

BEYOND CAMPUS

Fayetteville is among the nation’s top-five Best Places to Live for the third year in a row, according to a ranking by U.S. News & World Report. The area’s many attractions include a world-class museum, America’s first national river, miles of scenic hiking trails and one of the state’s most popular entertainment districts.

ACCESSIBLE ANYWHERE

The U of A reaches students wherever they are by offering online degree programs and courses. Time, distance and life demands can derail a person’s goals, but online education helps students overcome these barriers. Visit online.uark.edu for a list of undergraduate and graduate degree programs offered completely or primarily online by the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences; the J.
