OVERVIEW
John Brown University is celebrating its 100th year of Christ Over All. Established in 1919, JBU is committed to providing a Christ-centered education that prepares students to honor God and serve others by developing their intellectual, spiritual and professional lives. JBU enrolls more than 2,400 students from 53 nations and 38 states.
ACADEMICS
A JBU education challenges students to seek a globally aware, holistic, curious and lifelong pursuit of learning. The programs are designed to stimulate new discovery through thought-provoking lectures and interactive projects that prepare students for life after college. The 13-1 student-to-faculty ratio facilitates an ideal environment for mentorship and individualized education.
PROGRAMS
JBU offers more than 40 majors for traditional undergraduate students, including business, biology, nursing, engineering, music and graphic design. For students who have prior college credit, JBU Online offers flexible opportunities to finish a degree in select programs. JBU also offers master’s degrees in business, counseling, education and cybersecurity — online and at locations throughout the state. JBU’s nursing program graduated its first class in 2016 with a 96 percent passing rate for the NCLEX licensure exam.
FACILITIES
More than 90 percent of JBU facilities are new or have been renovated since 2000, including the newly built Peer-Andrus Studio and Project Barn, new futsal courts and the new Sager Creek Mountain Bike Trail. For more information, visit www.jbu.edu.
