LAURENCE “LARRY” ALLMON, 63, of Wrightsvil­le, Ark., departed this life on March 16. He was preceded in death by his parents, Erma and Veodis Allmon; siblings, Richard Allmon, Greg Stewart; grandson, Blake Spencer; maternal and paternal grandparen­ts.

Mrs. REGINA MALCZYCKI DOBBINS, age 80, of Little Rock died Monday, March 18, 2019. Born in Poland, June 29, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wasyl B. Malczycki also of Little Rock. She was preceded in death by her brother George Malczycki; sister,

Bro. EALGIE GILBERT SR. was born in Allport, Ark. He was in the ministry for over 64 years. He was baptized August of 1950 at Gum Street Church of Christ in North Little Rock, Ark.

His ministry journey began in 1951 serving congregati­ons in Cotton Plant, Ark.; England, Ark.; and Russellvil­le, Ark. During this time, Ealgie had a successful career of nearly two decades with the 3M Company in Little Rock. He also establishe­d ministry work at the following churches: Dixie Church of Christ in North Little Rock, Ark.; Sweet Home Church of Christ in Sweet Home, Ark.; College Heights Church of Christ in Pine Bluff, Ark.; East Side Church of Christ in Little Rock, Ark.; and East Moline Church of Christ in Malvern, Ark. He held gospel meetings in many parts of the country. He worked as an evangelist during the earlier part of his ministry while working with three other congregati­ons on a part-time basis. Throughout his ministry, he has preached the gospel to many and baptized hundreds into the faith. Ealgie was a loving husband, father, grandfathe­r, brother, and friend. He loved to preach, cook, garden, hunt, and fish.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Jerome (Sally) Gilbert of nearly 69 years, seven children, 45 grandchild­ren, and 35 great-grandchild­ren.

Little Rock after fighting various health issues for

20+ years. He was born October 14, 1945 in

St. Joseph, Mo., to Norman Lee

Hadley and Norma E. Hadley.

Bill was a beloved husband and best friend to Judy Hadley for 53 years. Devoted and loving father, grandfathe­r, great-grandfathe­r, and friend to all who knew him. Formally served in the United States Air Force. He later owned and operated H&H Home Repair alongside his son, Steve. For the past 16 years he has been a loved employee of Dow Building Services.

Bill loved and enjoyed working with his hands especially passionate about making and repairing things for people including handmade pens he personaliz­ed for each friend. Ordained a deacon 35 years ago, and an active member of Sylvan Hills First Baptist Church where he loved singing in the choir.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert and Ronald Hadley; sister, Deanna Klein. He leaves to cherish his memories with his wife Judy Hadley; sisters, Dixie Quinn and Bonita White; sistersin-law, Gail Hadley and Ann Hadley; son, Steven Hadley and wife Alexandra Hadley (Buena Vista, Ga.); daughter, Melissa Hadley (Jacksonvil­le, Ark.); five grandchild­ren, Jennifer Taylor, Steffanie Hadley, Cody Holt, Thomas Hadley, Cortney Hafer; and four great-grandchild­ren.

JAMES HOOKER LEWIS, age 50, entered into his rest March 18, 2019. He was born May 27, 1968 in Searcy, Ark. to Harry Lewis and Fannie Cannon Lewis. He graduated from Searcy High School Class of 1987. After high school James joined the U.S. Army where he served in Operation Desert Storm. He was proud to serve his country and protect our freedom.

James is survived by his adopted dad, Stanley Hooker (NLR), 2 sisters, Geraldine Hooker Lewis (NLR, Ark.) and Stacy Horton Bell (Edmond, Okla.), four nieces, Charity Middleton (Cody) of Muldrow, Okla., Hannah Cox (Jonathan) of Oklahoma City, Okla., Andrea Fouts (Braden) of Muldrow, Okla., and Mikayla Money of Oklahoma City, Okla. He had four great-nieces and one great nephew, all of Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his biological father, Harry, and mother, Fannie, and by his adopted mom, Gayle Hooker.

James loved the Lord and his family above all in this life. He was a talented artist, loving son, brother, uncle, and friend.

Mr. LESLIE PHILIP NORTHEN JR., died on March 15th, 2019, at the age of 104. Les was born in 1915, at Winnfield, Louisiana, to Leslie Philip Northen and Ora Emma Pennington Northen. Les was a graduate of Little Rock Central High School, attended the University of Arkansas at Fayettevil­le, and attended the Engineerin­g University of Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a 2nd Lt. in the United States Army during World War II serving in the European Theater of Operation as an Armored Reconnaiss­ance Unit Commander.

Les was a remarkable and a very private gentleman. He lived a long, healthy and satisfying life. His long life, his military service to his country, and his family & friends were badges of honor to him. An avid golfer most of his adult life Les played golf until he was 99 years of age. He was a long time member at Western Hills Country Club. After leaving Western Hills CC, he joined the Maumelle Country Club, where he played golf regularly until he was 99 years of age, retiring from the game because of health issues. During his years of playing golf, he made 6 (witnessed) holes-in-one. Mr. Northen was a businessma­n & lived in Little Rock for many years, but had lived in North Little Rock for the past 57 years.

He was predecease­d by his parents; his stepfather, Fred Myers Cutrer; his wife, Ruth Marie Mowbray Northen; his son, Dan Alan Northen; and two brothers, Will (Eleese) Northen and John Northen. Survivors include two nephews, John (Patty) Northen of Ft. Pierce, Fla., and Cliff (Valerie) Northen of Bimini Island, Bahamas; two nephews-in-law, Bill (Louise) Tribble of Bryant, Ark., and Phillip (Dawne) Risher of Maumelle, Ark.; and two special friends & advocates, Penny and Grey Ferguson of Arkadelphi­a, Ark.

Family and friends thank the Staff of Heroes Home #3 at the Arkansas Department of Veteran’s Affairs Home in North Little Rock, Ark., for their quality care and their devotion to Mr. Les these past several months. Also, Arkansas Hospice is to be commended for their care of Mr. Les in the last weeks of his life. Mr. Northen requested that his body be donated to medical research. His choice was Genesis Whole Body Foundation in Memphis, Tenn.

As per Mr. Northen’s request there will be no funeral, burial or memorial services. Memorials may be sent in his name to Group Living, Inc., P.O. Box 159, Arkadelphi­a, Ark. 71923.

ROSE MARIE PEARSON, 92, was called home to be with her Lord Jesus on March 10, 2019. She was born in Sweet Home, Ark., on March 15, 1926. Rose was preceded in death by her parents Lewis Thomas and Johnnie V. Thomas and son Charles Edward Jones. She is survived by her granddaugh­ter, Vinnette Jones of Brooklyn, New York, special cousins and caregivers James and Denise Nunnley of Little Rock; and many cousins and friends. She retired from nursing with 30+ years of service at the Arkansas State Hospital. For many years she was an active member of Greater Zion Hill Baptist Church and Dunbar Alumni Choir.
