■ Little Rock groupie Connie Hamzy’s penchant for attracting attention landed her in some trouble Thursday. A Little Rock police officer noticed her wearing a thong bikini at Murray Park. The officer cited Hamzy, known as “Sweet, Sweet Connie” in song and legend, at 1:30 p.m. for disorderly conduct. The charge is a Class C misdemeanor with a maximum penalty of 30 days in jail and a $100 fine. “The suit had a narrow part covering the front allowing body hair to show on both sides,” patrol officer James Andrews wrote in a report. The suit offered a clear view of her buttocks, he said. Hamzy said she didn’t realize she was violating the law by wearing the revealing bathing suit. “I wasn’t being disorderly,” Hamzy said Friday. “All I’m doing is trying to get a tan.” Hamzy said she was sitting on a park bench and preparing to edit her memoirs when Andrews approached her.

■ Little Rock police detectives and SWAT team members broke into the wrong apartment during a Wednesday evening drug raid after an informant pointed to the wrong door, police said. The manager of Barton Oaks Apartments at 107 Barton St. in the Capitol View neighborhood said police were being cooperative in making things right. “They’re working on the steps to have us reimbursed for the damages,” said Cathy Seifert, manager of the complex. “The door was kicked open and there were two burn spots on the carpets.” “They just had the wrong number of the apartment and they didn’t check with me beforehand,” Seifert said. According to police reports, narcotics investigators were interested in the occupant of Apartment 25, but the door to Apartment 26 was rammed open instead. The raid occurred just after 8 p.m. Wednesday. Officers used two “flash-bangs” for distraction while using a ram to knock the door open, the report said.
