LAURENCE “LARRY” ALLMON, 63, of Wrightsvil­le, Ark. departed this life on March 16. He was preceded in death by his parents Erma and Veodis Allmon; siblings, Richard Allmon, Greg Stewart; grandson, Blake Spencer; maternal and paternal grandparen­ts.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife: Carolyn Allmon; his children: Paul Richardson of Nashville, Tenn., Aminah (Deon) Spencer, Tandra Allmon, Martell Wilbon, Tameka Allmon, and Jaylon Allmon; his siblings: Cynthia (James) Woods, Gregory (Belva) Allmon, Carol (Eddie) Watson, Charlotte Allmon, Terry (Nicholas) Connor, Tracy (Anthony) Jemerson, Joseph (Cynthia) Welch of Detroit, Mich.; sisterin-law, Lois (Richard) Allmon of Baton Rouge, La.; eight grandchild­ren and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

BETTY MEADOWS ATKINSON, 92, of Maumelle passed away Friday March 15, 2019. She was born November 17, 1926 in Monroe, La. She was the daughter of J. Filmore and Helen King Meadows. She graduated from Hot Springs High School and attended the University of Arkansas where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She later obtained a Master of Library Science degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Mrs. Atkinson was preceded in death in1995 by her husband of 48 years, Samuel L. Atkinson Jr.

After living a short time in Pine Bluff, Betty and Sam Atkinson raised their family in Stuttgart, where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School at First Methodist Church.

She was a Girl Scout leader, and was a teacher and school librarian. The Atkinsons moved to Little Rock in 1970 where she was a member of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church and taught in the Little Rock School District as librarian for 20 years. After her retirement she stayed busy with primetimer­s, playing duplicate bridge, and attending life quest, book club, and retired teachers meetings.

She is survived by one sister, Nadia Bass of Conway; daughters Mary Jane Weindorf of Little Rock, Malu (James) Norris of Hot Springs; and son, Samuel L. Atkinson III of Maumelle; six grandchild­ren, and 13 great-grandchild­ren. The Family would like to thank the staff at Stonehaven Assisted Living, the Lakes of Maumelle Health and Rehab, and Hospice Home care for their comfort and care of our Mother. AUGUSTUS MARION FULK III was born August 15, 1931 to Augustus Marion Fulk Jr. and Lois Vandenburg Fulk in Little Rock, Ark. He attended Little Rock Senior High where he excelled at academics, graduating Cum Laude, serving as President of the National Honor Society, and being the lead commenceme­nt speaker. He proudly served as the Athletic Student Manager for the Wilson’s Tigers.

Upon graduation, he attended Columbia University on a four-year scholarshi­p, graduating in 1953.

After graduating Columbia, Augustus, known as Sonny to his friends and also as Gus, married the love of his life, Anne Watkins Bass of Little Rock in 1954, after she graduated from Vassar College. Gus then attended the U.S. Navy’s Officer Candidate School. He served as an Ensign and a Lieutenant JG for three years, including a nine-month deployment to the Western Pacific on the USS Boxer.

Gus and Anne returned to Little Rock in 1957, and Gus became a stock and options broker, serving clients through five different brokerage companies over 60 years, retiring in 2018. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, tennis player, runner, gardener, and accomplish­ed bridge player.

He was a model husband and father. He and Anne were married for 62 years before Anne died at the end of 2016. Together Anne and Gus raised four children: Marion (Jeff Rosenzweig), Martin (Lisa Shea), Baucum (Anna Swallow), and Austin (Brian Moulton). They were proud grandparen­ts to Watkins, Lucy, and Linus.

Gus will be greatly missed by his children, grandchild­ren, friends, and clients. His funeral will be held Saturday, March 23, at 2 pm at Christ Episcopal Church where he attended for over 60 years and served on the vestry and as an usher. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m., Friday, March 22, at Ruebel Funeral Home, 6313 West Markham St., Little Rock, Ark. 72205.

Mrs. DELORES GORDON-HALL, 79, of Little Rock, Ark., passed away March 15, 2019. She was born to the late Ruby Mall and Houston Gordon on November 12, 1939, and later raised by the late James McCoy and Mother Mary McCoy. She was a graduate of Baptist College in Little Rock, Ark., with a B.A. degree in Elementary Education.

Her visitation is Friday March 22, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and her funeral will follow at 11 a.m. at Shiloh Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2400 Maple Street, Little Rock with Pastor James Roberts/Eulogy. Burial will be at Rest in Peace Cemetery in Hensley, Ark.

–––––❖––––– JACOB LEWIS KYZER, 28 of Jacksonvil­le, Arkansas passed away in Little Rock, on Saturday, March 16, 2019 after a sudden illness. He was born April 20, 1990.

He was preceded in death by his cousin Allen Manon and his chocolate lab and best hunting dog Bruno.

Jake was a loving father, son, grandson, brother, uncle and friend to many. After high school he proudly served in the U.S. Army, and was known as a hard worker. He was a volunteer for many years on the South Bend Fire Department and currently worked as a security guard which he enjoyed very much. He enjoyed singing, dancing, hunting, fishing, and being an avid gamer known to many as “Baby Cakes Kyzer”.

Jake is survived by his parents; Jimmy Kyzer Jr. and Theresa Main Kyzer, two sons; Erick Ivan Kyzer (8) and James Robert Kyzer (7) of the home, his grandparen­ts; Sam “Grandpa” and Pat “Nanny” Main of Jacksonvil­le and Jimmy “PawPaw” Kyzer Sr. and Delolar “Grandma” Kyzer of Jacksonvil­le, a brother Richard Lee Kyzer (Alicia) of Cabot, four nephews; Hunter Kyzer, Gage Kyzer, Peyton Kyzer and Nicholas Brown, two nieces; Ashley Brown and Emily Brown, his two best buddies/brothers, Jeremy Sides and Jeffery Garringer, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

ELIZABETH FRANCES VICE, 87, of Jacksonvil­le passed from this life on Monday March 18, 2019.

She was born June 11, 1931 in Strong, Arkansas to the late Jewell and Essie Faye Thompson Taylor.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two children, Zoe Ellen Staats and Melvin Loren Staats; brother, Robert Thompson; and sisters, Shirley E. Winkleman and Barbara E. Bielss. Survivors include children, Hazel Faulkner, Viki Carroll, Shawn McIntosh and Mona-Marie McIntosh-Hortelano; brothers, Henry E. Taylor, Jewell Davis Taylor, and Richard Thompson; sisters, Gerry Burroughs, Barbara J. Little, Kathy Gray, and Holly Thompson.
