Arvest Bank has hired Eric Johnston and Jay Bankston as vendor business development representatives for Arvest Equipment Finance, a division of the bank. Arvest Equipment Finance added staff additions related to the expansion of its vendor operations: Carrie Guire and Stacey Nichols, sales support specialists, and Mike Davis, asset manager.

Bill Burrough, the Hot Springs city manager since December, was elected president of the Arkansas City Management Association, Inc.
HIGHER EDUCATION
Hendrix College has appointed Kesha Wingfield Baoua, the Associate Dean of Students and Director of the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities, to serve as the College’s interim Chief Diversity Officer and Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion.
The University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, has hired Elecia Smith as executive director of the IDEALS Institute, a name that comes from the words inclusion, diversity, equity, access, leadership and strategic supports. Scheduled to open in the fall, the institute plans to provide training and research services for UA and other entities through partnerships with public schools, businesses and government agencies, according to the university.

Dr. Ashley Ross has been named recipient and steward of the Walmart Endowed Chair in Neonatology, according to Arkansas Children’s Hospital and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Ross is an associate professor in the UAMS College of Medicine. She practices at Arkansas Children’s Hospital and is the Neonatology Section Chief at UAMS and Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
Arkansas Colleges of Health Education has hired Brian G. Kim as the new president.
SPORTS BUSINESS
The University of Central Arkansas has announced the addition of several new members of the athletics department’s external unit. They are Austin Hopper, director of development; MacKenzie Magwire, director of marketing and promotions; Katie Moore, coordinator of partnership success; Hunter Roberts, athletics ticket manager; and Thomas Rodriguez, general manager for UCA Sports Properties.
