Fundraiser for artist

A fundraiser to help Fayettevil­le artist Brian Jackson get back on his feet is scheduled for 3-8 p.m. Sunday at George’s Majestic Lounge, 519 W. Dickson St., Fayettevil­le. Jackson’s legs were amputated above the knee as a result of diabetes; friends are hoping to raise $6,000 to cover the deductible for two new prosthetic legs. The event will include a silent auction of works by George Dombek, MM Kent, Lyn Ward and others, and there will be music by Foggy Bobcat and Jonteal. Admission is $5. MusicFest lineup

Walk The Moon will be the headliner Sept. 27 in the Murphy Arts District Amphitheat­er, the first day of El Dorado’s two-day MusicFest, Sept. 27-28.

The Friday bill will also include lovely the band, The New Respects and a late night show in the Griffin Restaurant with alternativ­e hip-hop group RDGLDGRN.

On Sept. 28 the headliner will be country singer Brett Young, preceded by Gone West featuring Colbie Caillat, Tyler Rich, 2018 American Idol finalist Gabby Barrett, Teddy Robb and Trey Johnson rounds out the bill.

The Griffin Restaurant stage will host several acts on Saturday, including Spectra Vamp, Szlachetka, a performanc­e from the winner of the first MAD Battle band competitio­n and a late-night Griffin Restaurant show by The ShotGunBil­lys.

Early Bird tickets will be available at 10 a.m. Wednesday, initially only in two-day packages ($70-150 through July 5, $85-$165 July 6-Sept. 21); individual one-day tickets, $50-$90, go on sale July 6. Prices increase $10 starting Sept. 22. Call (877) 940-3334 or visit eldoMAD.com.
