Frampton to come alive in LR at Robinson Center

Peter Frampton will bring his “Finale: The Farewell Tour” for a performanc­e at 7:30 p.m. today at Robinson Center Performanc­e Hall in Little Rock. Tickets range from $39.50 to $300.

The Little Rock show is Frampton’s second stop on the tour, which he chose to undertake after being diagnosed with inclusion body myositis (IBM), a progressiv­e muscle disorder characteri­zed by muscle inflammati­on, weakness and atrophy, or wasting.

The 69-year-old guitar virtuoso, singer-songwriter and talk box player, recently celebrated the 43rd anniversar­y of his fifth solo album, Frampton Comes Alive, which has sold more than 17 million copies worldwide. He released his latest album, All Blues, June 7th. The 10-song album contains cover versions of blues classics “Georgia on My Mind,” “The Thrill Is Gone,” “Can’t Judge a Book by the Cover,” “I Just Want To Make Love To You” and others.

■ Jeff Coleman and the Feeders will perform at 8 p.m. today at Griffin Restaurant in El Dorado. Admission is $5.

■ Country rock singer-songwriter guitarist Austin Meade will perform at 8:30 p.m. today at Stickyz Rock ’n’ Roll Chicken Shack in Little Rock. Admission is $10.

Meade, the son of a Baptist pastor and a 2015 graduate of Texas A&M, began his musical career with a 2014 album, Chief of the Sinners. He released his latest album, Waves, in January.

■ Jeremy Pinnell, along with opening act Dylan Earl, will perform at 8:30 p.m. today at White Water Tavern in Little Rock. Admission is $7.

■ There will be a drag show at 9 p.m. today at Maxine’s in Hot Springs. Admission is $5.

FRIDAY

Kat Hood & Chuck Gilbert, will perform at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Almost Famous in Conway. Admission is free.

Hood and Gilbert were previously together in the Kat Hood Trio and later formed the band Katmandu.

■ Arkansauce, along with opening act Darren Barry, will perform at 8:30 p.m. Friday at King’s Live in Conway. Admission is $5.

■ The Ally Venable Band will perform at 8:30 p.m. Friday at Stickyz Rock ’n’ Roll Chicken Shack. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 the day of the show.

■ The Brent Frazier Band will perform at 9 p.m. Friday at The Big Chill in Hot Springs. Admission is $5.

■ Nikki Hill, along with opening acts Joshua Asante and DJ Baldego, will perform for the “Summer Soulstice VIII” at 9 p.m. Friday at White Water Tavern in Little Rock. Admission is $10.

■ Honey Collective and Vanimal Kingdom will perform at 9 p.m. Friday at Maxine’s in Hot Springs. Admission is $5.

■ The Rodney Block Collective, featuring Bijoux, will perform for “The Little Black Dress Music Night” at 9 p.m. Friday at Club Sway in Little Rock, Admission is $15 general admission, $20 reserved.

■ Brick Fields will perform at 10 p.m. Friday at the Four Quarter Bar in North Little Rock. Admission is $7.

Rachel Fields and Larry Brick, who are married, are the core of the Brick Fields band, which frequently includes other musicians. Fields came to music via her uncle, the late Mike “Burger” Scoggins.

■ AJ Ghent will perform at 10 p.m. Friday at South on Main in Little Rock. Tickets are $7 in advance or $10 at the door.

SATURDAY

Anthony Hamilton, Mr. Sipp, Kingfish Ingram, On Call Band, Justin Teal Morgan, Highway 49 Blues Band, SynG Band and Southern Avenue will perform at the “Blues, Batter and Brew 2019 Fest” Saturday at Regional Park Amphitheat­er in Pine Bluff. Admission ranges from $10 to $70.

Gates will open at noon, and lawn chairs and blankets will be permitted, but not coolers and backpacks.

■ The Foul Play Cabaret will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at Maxine’s in Hot Springs. Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 the day of the show.

■ Bound 4 the Future, along with opening acts Yuni Wa and Dazz & Brie, will perform at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Rev Room in Little Rock. Admission is $8.

■ David Rasiko and Lena Pearce will perform on “dueling pianos” at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at King’s Live in Conway. Admission is $5.

■ The Christine DeMeo Band will perform at 9 p.m. Saturday at The Big Chill in Hot Springs. Admission is $5.

■ The Garcia Project will perform at 9:30 p.m. Saturday at Stickyz Rock ’n’ Roll Chicken Shack in Little Rock. Admission is $15.

The Garcia Project performs classic Jerry Garcia Band shows from the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s.

■ The Going Jessies, along with opening act Amy Garland Angel, will perform at 10 p.m. Saturday at the Four Quarter Bar in North Little Rock. Admission is $7.

SUNDAY

The Flight Plan Jazz Ensemble will perform at 3 p.m. Sunday at Horner Hall in Hot Springs Convention Center. Admission is free.

TUESDAY

Shane Sweeney and Todd May will perform at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at White Water Tavern in Little Rock. Admission is $5.

WEDNESDAY

Crazy Town X, (formerly known as Crazytown) along with opening acts Spoken and Sychosys, will perform at 7 p.m. Wednesday as part of its 20th anniversar­y tour at the Rev Room in Little Rock. Tickets are $15 in advance, $18 the day of the show.

■ Mark Currey & 92 Days will perform at 8 p.m. Wednesday at South on Main in Little Rock. Tickets are $7 in advance, $10 the day of the show.
