MONDAY Yarn It All

BENTON — Yarn It All, for adults ages 18 and older, will take place from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Bob Herzfeld Memorial Library. People who crochet, knit, loom knit or weave are invited to bring a favorite project or grab a community project from the yarn truck and take part in some yarn time.

Classic Games: Canasta/Backgammon BENTON — Classic Games Canasta/Backgammon, for adults ages 18 and older, will meet from 1-2:30 p.m. at the Bob Herzfeld Memorial Library.

Animology

BRYANT/BENTON — Animology will take place from 1-2 p.m. at the Mabel Boswell Memorial Library in Bryant and from 3-4 p.m. and 6-7 p.m. at the Bob Herzfeld Memorial Library in Benton. Attendees will see and learn about some more awesome animals. All ages are welcome.

TUESDAY

Awesome Astronauts

BRYANT — Awesome Astronauts meets from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Mabel Boswell Memorial Library. Tweens ages 9 to 12 can explore space with the group. This week, participan­ts will build and launch mini rockets.

Space Explorers

BRYANT — Space Explorers, for ages 5 to 8, will meet from 10:3011:30 a.m. at the Mabel Boswell Memorial Library. Kids will build, create and use their wits to solve puzzles. This week, the group will do an escape room.

Thistlebry­t Year Three

BENTON — Thistlebry­t Year Three, for ages 13 to 18, will meet from 4-5 p.m. at the Bob Herzfeld Memorial Library. The group will create crafts, solve escape rooms and have other library adventures. The theme for 2019 is “Space.”

Tinker Tuesdays in the Makerspace BENTON/BRYANT — Tinker Tuesdays in the Makerspace, for all ages, will meet from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Bob Herzfeld Memorial Library in Benton and from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Mabel Boswell Memorial Library in Bryant. Attendees can design a 3-D print, practice sewing or laminate something. Kids younger than 12 must be accompanie­d by an adult.

WEDNESDAY

Family Story Time

BRYANT — Family Story time, designed for ages 3 to 7, will take place from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Mabel Boswell Memorial Library. Children will join librarians for a silly story time with songs, stories and props. All ages are welcome.

Making It Wednesday

BENTON — Making It Wednesday, for adults ages 18 and older, will meet from 1-2:30 p.m. at the Bob Herzfeld Memorial Library. There is a new feature project each week, appropriat­e for beginners and more-experience­d crafters.

Baby Prom

BENTON — Baby Prom, for infants to 4-year-olds and their caregivers, will take place from 10-11 a.m. at the Bob Herzfeld Memorial Library. Celebrate the end of summer with a baby dance party.

Space Quest RPG

BRYANT — Space Quest RPG, for ages 13 to 18, will meet from 4-5 p.m. at the Mabel Boswell Memorial Library. In this roleplayin­g game, teens will find a crew and chart their course through the stars.

48-Day Film Festival

BENTON — Adults ages 18 and older are invited to view films from the 48-Day Film Festival from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Bob Herzfeld Memorial Library.

Yoga Class

BENTON — A yoga class, for adults ages 18 and older, will take place from 6-7 p.m. at the Bob Herzfeld Memorial Library.

SATURDAY

Saline County Library Comic Con

BENTON — The Saline County Library will host its second annual comic con, or SCL Con, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bob Herzfeld Memorial Library. There is no admission cost. Attendees can take part in such activities as getting lightsaber lessons from a certain Jedi, competing in an escape room with their closest adult friends and more. Kids ages 6 to 10 can sign up to play games with characters from a galaxy far, far away, and the Makerspace will feature rotating crafts, as well as a green screen for photos. Ageless Bikers Club

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — The Ageless Bikers Club has 10 different bicycle rides that are 16 to 35 miles long. The rides are on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays on quiet paved country roads (one ride has up to 3 miles of gravel). No one is left behind, and the group stops often to regroup and socialize. Several rides are “out and back,” so the beginner can turn back for a shorter ride. Latinos Unidos Art Exhibit

HOT SPRINGS — Latinos Unidos, an art exhibit featuring Latino artisans living in the United States, is on exhibit at the Landmark Building on Henderson State University’s Hot Springs Campus, 201 Market St., through Aug. 30. The gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, with extended hours until 8 p.m. for Gallery Walks on first Fridays, and by appointmen­t Saturdays and Sundays. Free Exercise Opportunit­ies ARKADELPHI­A — The Central Arkansas Developmen­t Council’s Arkadelphi­a Senior Activity Center, 1305 N. 10th St., offers a free Zumba class, geared for seniors ages 60 and older, at 11 a.m. every Wednesday and a free exercise class, Moving to the Beat, at 11 a.m. Mondays.
