NEW ORLEANS, La. — Mary Louise Nelson passed away in New Orleans, La. on September 10, 2019 after a short illness. She was born on April 19, 1929 to Frank and Mary Ottley Budke on the family farm in Beloit, Kan.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jimmie and her 8 siblings, Lucille Budke, Walter Budke, Albert Budke, Clara Streit, Rose Pearce, Francis Budke, Loretta (Lou) Allison, and Viola Ward. She is survived by her daughter, Clair Garcia, a sister, Theresa and husband Bob Berndt, of Minnetonka, Minn. and a brother, Bill and wife Leona Budke of Leavenwort­h, Kan., and many nieces and nephews.

Mary loved her family, her home and gardens and her three cats. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic church in North Little Rock.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Jimmie in Edgewood Memorial Park, NLR. GREENVILLE, Miss. — Semmie Marie Crawford, 82, homemaker, of Greenville, Miss. died Friday, September 6, 2019 at her residence. She was born March 5th, 1937 in Little Rock, Arkansas, the daughter of Jesse LaNier and Mary Sudduth LaNier. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Harold Lewis Crawford; son, Patrick Thomas Kearney of Niceville, Fla.; daughter, Tonya Marie Riner (Allan) of Benton, Ark.; two grandchild­ren, Allisha Clement (Brian) and Jessica Riner; two great-grandchild­ren, Weston Allan Clement and Willow Grace Clement; and cousin, Richard Johns. Private services will be held at a later date. Arrangemen­ts are entrusted to Mortimer Funeral Home, Greenville, Miss.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Angela Ruby Roper, 36, of Nashville, Tennessee, formerly of Bald Knob, Arkansas, passed away August 16, 2019 in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born July 22, 1983 in Searcy to Ralph Roper and Joyce (Jenn) Roper.

Angela was a graduate of Bald Knob High School; she went on to graduate from the University of Central Arkansas with her bachelor’s degree in Medical Physicist. She later obtained two Master’s degrees from Vanderbilt and had planned on going for her Ph.D. Angela was an amazing woman who had a love for education and helping those around her. She enjoyed baseball, softball and tennis.

She is survived by her parents, Ralph and Joyce Roper; brothers, Heath Roper and Jared Roper, both of Michigan; many aunts and uncles from Iowa, Colorado and Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her fraternal grandparen­ts, Kermit and Ruby Roper of Bald Knob and maternal grandparen­ts, Joe and Rita Jenn of Hills, Iowa.

The family will have a Celebratio­n of Life and gathering for Angela at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 14 at New Bethel General Baptist Church in Bald Knob, Arkansas. A Mass will be held at a later date in Iowa.
