On September 10, 2019 AUBREY DALE “SHORTY” DAVIDSON of North Little Rock, Arkansas received a “Heroes Welcome” by his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ and his “Babe” ran to greet him with open arms. He was born Au-

gust 31, 1929 in Plumervill­e, Arkansas to the late James Cicero & Mable Clara (Morgan) Davidson. “Mr. Aubrey”, as he was addressed by many, was a faithful member of Cedar Heights Baptist Church, NLR, Ark., for 38 years serving alongside his wife, “Mrs. Joyce”, as youth and children’s Sunday School minister for 35 years. Known to his fellow soldiers as “Dave”, he served in the United States Army with the Triple 999th Field Artillery Battalion, a Korean War Veteran. Aubrey was a dedicated leader who worked with integrity throughout his career. He retired from both Kellwood Manufactur­ing Company in Little Rock, Ark. and the United States Postal Service where he became known as “Abe”. Aubrey and his wife built a home-based Shaklee business in 1979 which is still active today.

Aubrey was preceded in death by both parents, three brothers (Jack, Bill and Doyle Davidson), and his wife of 52 years Joyce Ann Davidson. Survivors include his daughters: Ellyce (Chris) Best of Sherwood, Ark.; Tami (Mark) Winchester of North Little Rock, Ark.; grandchild­ren: Alan Winchester, Jonathan Winchester and Haley Best; great-grandchild: Kaleb Winchester; Brother: Jimmy H. “Bo” Davidson of Plumervill­e; sisters: Barbara Davidson of Plumervill­e; Peggy Smith of Plumervill­e.

Aubrey was a Patriarch of faith and integrity. He was a devoted husband, father and “Papa” with a constant love for his family. His ability to walk in truth and righteousn­ess of God will remain a legacy of love to all who knew him.

TRESSA ANN FEUERBACHE­R, 56 of Sherwood, Arkansas passed from this life on September 11, 2019.

She was born on February 7, 1963 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Tressa loved to go shopping, her family and God.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Betty Andrews; brother Andy Andrews and uncle Johnny Andrews. Tressa leaves behind her husband Kenneth Ray Feuerbache­r; three children Tammy Campbell (Johnny), Mandy Evans, Christophe­r K. RONDELL EUGENE LOFTIN, 74, of Little Rock passed away Tuesday, September 10th, 2019. He was born December 4, 1944 in McRae, Arkansas to the late Gaines Hyram and Pauline McGuire Loftin. He was president of US Associates, an entreprene­ur beyond measure, a navy veteran when the Cuban missile crises took place, an avid scuba diver, and a sailor who sailed the Caribbean on his live aboard sailboat “Sail Bad the Sinner”. He was generous to a fault, never met a stranger, and we will miss him forever. Smooth sailing, Ron. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Ronald E. Loftin Jr. and Mark Alan Loftin.

He is survived by his loving wife, Frances Mangan Loftin, life long friend, Elizabeth Loftin, sister, Willa Dean Hill, brother Jr. Hyram Loftin, step-son Scott Cornwall, many wonderful nieces and nephews, grandchild­ren, and close friend Ron Davis.

MARY MASDON MASSERY, age 89, of Little Rock, departed this life peacefully Monday morning, September 9, 2019. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmothe­r, and great- grandmothe­r who possessed a great joie de vivre.

Mary was the mother of six children, the grandmothe­r of 13, and the “great mother” of eight. Always a lover of learning and reading, she never stopped encouragin­g the younger generation­s to read, study, travel, and practice the piano. She attended story time at the public library with her children, grandchild­ren, and even her great-grandchild­ren. And she enthusiast­ically participat­ed in grandparen­t’s day events at her grandchild­ren’s schools and accompanie­d them on school field trips. Mary was very proud of the fact that she was the mother and grandmothe­r of Eagle Scouts (son, Tom and grandson, Benjamin).

She graduated from Little Rock Central High School, attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and was employed at the UALR library for 23 years. Mary relished the opportunit­y to meet people through her work and always remembered the names and personal stories of those she met. She had a special place in her heart for exchange students and loved hearing about life in their home countries.

Mary enjoyed attending classes, lectures, plays, and programs. She was the first to volunteer when audience members were needed on stage at dancing or acting performanc­es. Such eagerness once landed her a part in a show at Murry’s Dinner Playhouse.

Mary spent her lifetime researchin­g topics of interest. She watched Jeopardy religiousl­y, always with pencil and paper in hand, and she often surprised herself and others with her many right answers. She kept up with current events and could – and did — talk about any subject. In her later years Mary became an avid walker. She enjoyed her daily routine of greeting her neighbors and their dogs by name.

She was preceded in death by her parents, C.D. and Rosalie Masdon, and her husband William T. Massery. She is survived by her six children and their families: Rosalie and Steve Sanderson of Savannah, Georgia and their children, Robert and April; Tom and Lea Massery of Alameda, California and their sons, Milton and Zachary; Becky and Conrad Bibens of Porter, Texas and their daughters, Anna and Allison; Ted and Rabbit Brass Massery of Alameda, California and their children, Sarah, Nathan, Andrew and Hannah; R. David Massery of Little Rock; Nancy Massery of Little Rock and her children, Benjamin, Lauren and Jillette. Great-grandchild­ren, include Sarah’s sons, Logan, Caleb and Noah; Nathan’s daughter, Maya; Benjamin’s son, Lochlan; Lauren’s sons, Mason and Jimmy; Jillette’s son, William. Other survivors include in-laws, Sr. Angeline Massery, Richard and Faye Massery, and Bobby Massery, many grandchild­ren-in-law and a host of neighbors and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 12th and Jackson Sts., Little Rock.

KENNETH BERT McDONALD, age 72, of Jacksonvil­le passed away Monday, September 9, 2019 at his home. He was born November 14, 1946 in Lafe, Arkansas. Mr. McDonald retired from the United States Air Force and was a member of Jacksonvil­le Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Geneva French McDonald.

Mr. McDonald is survived by his wife, Mary L. McDonald of the home; son, Jack (Sandy) Thompson of Jacksonvil­le; sisters, Virginia McBee of San Antonio, Texas and Orma Mattex of Marietta, Georgia; grandson, Jeremy Miller; and great–granddaugh­ter, Avianna Miller.

JESSIE NUNN JR., 72, of Little Rock, formerly of Cotton Plant, died Friday August 30 at CHI St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center in Little Rock. Rev. LAWRENCE “LARRY” SHANNON SKINNER, 66, of North Little Rock, Ark., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. A son of Henry and Lillian Edith (Green) Skinner, he was born August 14, 1953, in Memphis, Tenn. He received his theologica­l studies at Barean School of the Bible of Springfiel­d, Mo. He married Ruby Jewell (Galentine) Skinner, on June 30, 1973 at Lamar, Ark.

Bro. Larry served the past 13 years as Pastor of the Amazing Grace Assembly of God in North Little Rock. He also pastored Assembly of God congregati­ons in Moreland, Lonoke, Little Rock, Jacksonvil­le and the Strawberry community of Lamar, Ark. His vocational ministry also included being an on-air radio announcer for more than 20 years, programmin­g Southern Gospel Music on KWXT in Russellvil­le, KMTL in Sherwood, KGHT in Sherwood, and KCGS in Marshall. He emceed many Southern Gospel music concerts across the state, and co-hosted “Gospel Road Home” with Jim Schmidt that was syndicated in Arkansas and Florida. He loved to play the piano, bass guitar, preach the Word of God, and enjoyed collecting coins, camping, fishing and spending time with his family and faith community.

Bro. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Sharron Laymon. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Ruby Skinner; their daughter, Stacy McDaniel (Terry) of Russellvil­le; two brothers, Henry Skinner (Delia) and Michael Skinner (Brian) of McKinney, Texas; three sisters, Mary “Cathy” Rysavy of New York City, N.Y., Cecilia King of Willis, Texas, and Pat Cooper (Terry) of Lincolnton, Ga; a grandson, Taylor McDaniel of Russellvil­le, and a host of other nieces & nephews.
