JACQUELYN “JACKIE” VALENTINE BULMANSKI passed away on September 11, 2019. She was born March 11, 1932, to John and Vivian Valentine. She was married to her husband, Albert John Bulmanski, for sixty-two years before he passed away.

Jackie was always talented in drawing. Later in life, she started taking painting classes and became quite the artist. She loved to use oils, charcoal, and pen and ink. Jackie loved to travel, especially after Al retired. They bought a motor-home and saw almost all of the contiguous states. She was a devout Catholic whose prayer life included daily rosaries.

Jackie is survived by her children, Mary Lynn Hill (Jerry), Mike Bulmanski (Sandra), and D’Anne “Dede” Crowder (Perry); grandchild­ren, Chris Ingram (Lee), Katie Gadsden (Shawn), Jenna Pride (Tim), Aaron Bulmanski (Jessica), Kayla Bulmanski (fiancé, David), Amanda Aaron (Lacey), John Crowder (Jessica); and five great-grandchild­ren. Her grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren were her pride and joy. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Bob Valentine.

A visitation will be 6 – 7 p.m., Monday, September 16, 2019, with a rosary following at 7 p.m. at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will follow at noon at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. On Monday, September 9, 2019, DAVID LEE HARSHFIELD, Sr., loving husband, father of four children, grandfathe­r, and great- grandfathe­r, passed away at the age of 89. David was born in Delaware, Ark., to Zona Lucille and Martin Van Buren Harshfield on August 1, 1930. He was a star basketball and football player for Dardanelle High School and was a proud Sand Lizard. He married Marjorie Branton on December 16, 1949. They raised two sons, David and Dan, and two daughters, Dianna and Melinda.

David had a love for animals and rode horses as a child. His love of the majestic creatures led him to enjoy the Oaklawn horse races. He loved to fish, and always made sure that his children and grandchild­ren had a fishing pole and tackle box. David enjoyed watching football – from the Salt Bowl to the Razorbacks to the Cowboys. He was a great man, always working on his honey-dos and often found a way to put a smile on the faces of those he loved – often bringing flowers by and dropping off watermelon­s, peaches, and sometimes even Frostys.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Zona and Martin, and his brother J. E. Harshfield. He is survived by his wife Marjorie; his four children Dianna, David (Sandra), Dan (Pam), and Melinda (Bob); his grandchild­ren Kristin (Mike), Matthew, Adam, Trey (Erin), Mark (Ashley), Michelle, Rose, Becca, William (Tamara), and Jessica; and his great-grandchild­ren Ellie, Cooper, Maddox, Max, and Lily.

PEGGY LOUISE KEISLER, born January 1, 1941, in Camden, Ark., passed from this life September 12, 2019, in Little Rock, Ark. She was 78 years old. Peggy graduated in 1958 from Fairview High School, Camden, Ark. She retired from Arkansas Public Service Commission.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Royal and Mattie Keisler; and friend and former husband Roy Haley.

She is survived by her brother, Ronnie Keisler and wife Doris; sister, Pamela Keisler; daughter, Tanya Wadkins and husband Fran; grandchild­ren: Lauren Wadkins, Brenton Wadkins and Nathan Wadkins; life partner, Greg Clark; nieces: Kerri Conellan and Ami Brooke Quarles; nephews: Rhett Keisler, Ryan Keisler and Justin Quarles.

HOT SPRINGS — Sara Jeanelle Hoffert, 87, recently of Bethlehem Township, Pa., and prior to that, a longtime resident of St. Louis, Mo., died Saturday, September 7, 2019, in Hot Springs, Ark. Born March 15, 1932 in London, Ark., Jeanelle was one of two daughters of the late Corbett and Mildred (Wade) Rye, of Little Rock, Ark. Jeanelle was preceded in death by her loving husband, of nearly 69 years, Fred W. Hoffert, Jr. who passed away, June 3, 2017. Jeanelle was also preceded in death by her younger brother, James C. Rye, of Chicago, Il. Jeanelle worked for Mallinckro­dt Chemical, Co., St. Louis, Mo, for 25 years. Both Jeanelle, and her husband, were members of Epworth United Methodist Church, Bethlehem, Pa. Jeanelle was a woman of faith and believed strongly that she would be reunited with her loved ones in the hereafter. A loving wife, mother, grandmothe­r, great-grandmothe­r, sister, and dear friend of many. Jeanelle is survived by her twin sister, Jeaniece (Rye) Roe, of North Little Rock, Ark.; her children, Fred W. Hoffert, III and his wife Elizabeth (Wakeman) Hoffert, of Phoenix, Ariz., Dennis K. Hoffert, of St. Louis, Mo., her former daughter-in-law, Deborah M. Koenig, of Pensacola, Fla., and Cindy L.(Hoffert) Mahaney, and her husband, Raymond L. Mahaney, of Hot Springs Village, Ark., and three grandsons, Dennis K. Hoffert, Jr., of Pensacola, Fla., Aaron T. Mahaney, of Montevallo, Ala., and Andrew P. Mahaney, of Athens, Ga.. Jeanelle was also blessed with two great-granddaugh­ters, whom she adored, Kai Morgan and Lily Katelin Hoffert, both of Pensacola, Fla., together with sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and many friends.

The family would like to extend their thanks to all at Arkansas Hospice, Hot Springs, Ark., for the care and support they provided Jeanelle, and her family, in her final days. MALVERN — George Douglas Green, Jr., age 76, of Malvern, died Wednesday, September 11, 2019, in Little Rock. He was born on July 6, 1943, in Sparkman, Ark., to the late George D. Green, Sr. and Carrie Porter Green. Reared and receiving his early education in Sparkman, he graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with a degree in chemistry. While a student at OBU, he was a member of ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps). George worked for the Arkansas Highway and Transporta­tion Department in the Materials and Test Division, and retired as chief chemist for the State of Arkansas. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, Malvern, where he served as a deacon for many years. George also taught Sunday school for 43 years, positively influencin­g the lives of many children. George also served his community by delivering Meals on Wheels.

He is survived by his wife, Jennie Kay Hamilton Green, to whom he was married on August 14, 1970, in the First Baptist Church; his son, Michael Green of Benton; his granddaugh­ters, Ashley Nicole Green and Gabbie Cate Green; his brother, Dr. William Robert Green, and his wife, Carolyn of Jonesboro, Ark.; two nephews, Robert Green and Dr. Edward Green, and his wife, Emily; and by a great-niece and great– nephew, Douglas and Emery Green; and numerous cousins. George was also preceded in death by an infant brother.

A celebratio­n of George’s life will be on Monday, September 16, 2019, at two o’clock, in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church, with Brother Billy Bartlett and Dr. Verne Wickliffe officiatin­g. Interment will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery under the direction of J.A. Funk Funeral Home. A visitation will precede the service, beginning at twelve-thirty.

Pallbearer­s will be: Robert Green, Edward Green, James Stinnett, John Dyer, David Hughes, and Sherman Robinson. Honorary pallbearer­s will be: the Deacons of First Baptist Church and members of the McDonald’s Coffee Group.

SHERIDAN — Jay Cee Jamison of Sheridan, Arkansas was born June 10, 1947, the son of the late Leland and Gertrude Jamison. Mr. Jamison was a United States Army Veteran, having served his Country in the Vietnam war. He was also a retired truck driver. By far, his greatest joy was being outdoors, and every chance he had, he was either hunting or fishing.

Mr. Jamison died at his home on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at the age of 72. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Oscar Jamison and half sisters, Alice Barton and Darlene McCall.

Survivors: wife, Celia Jones Jamison of Sheridan; son, Bryan and wife Stephanie Jamison of Sheridan; daughter, Jennifer and husband Jeff Smith of Sheridan; half brother, Buster Pherigo of Indiana; grandchild­ren, Shelby Jamison, Hunter Jamison, Garrett Davis, Brett Davis, Blaine Davis, Abigail Johnson, Jamal Johnson; great grandchild­ren, Bristol Davis, Ava Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
