Joyce and Carl Dean Whitfield of Pineville celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Sept. 7 at a dinner with family at Jo’s Jo’s Restaurant at Jack’s Fishing Resort in Mountain View. The couple were married Sept. 5, 1959. She is the former Joyce Ann Tackett and a retired fifth-grade teacher. He is a retired high school math teacher. They are the parents of Scott Whitfield of Little Rock and Beth Whitfield of Pineville and have four grandchildren.

Connie and Bill Thornton of Little Rock have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple were married Sept. 9, 1969. She is the former Connie Morris and is executive coordinator for Real Estate Solutions. He is a financial adviser for Edward Jones Investments.

Cheryl and Roy Dunlop of North Little Rock celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary recently on cruise from Whittier, Alaska, to Vancouver, Canada, with their family. The couple were married Aug. 2, 1969. She is a retired medical social worker and he retired from the state and from the Air Force. They are the parents of Kevin Dunlop of Burke, Va., Kristopher Dunlop of Tampa, Fla., and Kari Franklin of North Little Rock. They have six children.

Mary and Jeff Russell Delezen of Camden have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family. The couple were married Sept. 14, 1969. She is the former Mary Virginia Beasley. He is a retired chemical engineer from International Paper Co. They are the parents of Laurie Orman of Bentonville and have two grandchildren.
