COLLIERVIL­LE, Tenn. — Marjorie Jean Sloat Treece passed away September 30th, 2019, at Baptist Trinity Hospice House in Colliervil­le, Tenn., at 68 years of age. She was born March 20th, 1951, to Don H. Sloat Jr. and Faye Martin Sloat in Fort Smith, Ark.

Margie graduated from UAMC in Little Rock, Ark., in May 1974 with a degree in Dental Hygiene. In December 1976 she married James Sherman Treece III. They lived all over the world with Amoco Oil Company before settling in Houston, Texas, and Tulsa, Okla.

Margie is preceded in death by her parents; Mildred Stouffer (sister); and a son, James S. Treece IV. Margie is survived by her husband Jim, of Colliervil­le, Tenn., and daughter Jennifer Treece Guthrie (Ben), grandsons, Miller and Craft Guthrie, all of Germantown, Tenn. Also brother, Don Sloat III (Cecelia) of Conway, Ark., and sisters Mary Alexander (Mike) of Rudy, Ark., and Kathy Norcross (Joe) of Mountain Home, Ark.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

MONROE, Wash. — Joseph Carson (Mike) Brady of Monroe, Washington, died September 27. He was born in Columbus, Georgia, February 25, 1944. Mike grew up in Helena and graduated from the University of Arkansas. He is survived by two children, Diana Brady Hofmann (Lars) and Michael David Brady (Kathryn) and two grandchild­ren. He is also survived by his sister Jane Rice (Phil) and his niece and nephews. A private service is planned at a later date.
