CONWAY — The Faulkner County library will present Sally Barris in concert at 2 p.m. Barris is a Nashville songwriter who has had songs covered by Kathy Mattea, Martina McBride and Lee Ann Womack. Master Gardeners Meeting

RUSSELLVILLE — The next lecture and meeting of the Pope County Master Gardeners will take place at 1 p.m. in Room 414 of First Assembly of God Church, 124 E. G St. Patrick Solomon, Habitat coordinator with the Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission, will speak on invasive species. Visitors are welcome.

Little Red River Studio Tour

CLINTON — The Little Red River Studio Tour in Clinton will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and from 1-4 p.m. Oct. 13. Free Lunch

DRASCO — The Combat Vet Motorcycle Association will offer a free lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Drasco Trading Post. Ice, drinks, paper plates and napkins will be provided, so the needed items are burgers, hot dogs, buns, chips and desserts, such as brownies, etc. All are invited to attend, eat and be appreciated.

Taste Along the River

DARDANELLE — Renaissance of Dardanelle will sponsor Taste Along the River, beginning at 4 p.m. on Front Street. The cost is $5 to taste food items. The event will also feature a silent auction, craft booths, Kids Along the River with a costume contest and door prizes , a Tour Bus Along the River, music and Honoring Our Veterans. Zion Lutheran Church Fall Fest

AUGSBURG — Zion Lutheran Church in Augsburg will have its 12th annual Fall Fest at 10 a.m. The church is at the intersection of Arkansas 333 and Augsburg Road, north of London and northwest of Dover. There is no admission charge, and the public is invited. The festival will feature a variety of activities for all ages, as well as prize drawings, all-day musical entertainment and German food. Proceeds from the festival will go to the River Valley Christian Clinic in Dardanelle and the Augsburg Food Pantry.

Ozark Perspectives Art Exhibit

CLINTON — The Ozark Perspectives Art Exhibit, by the North Central Arkansas Artist League, will be on display until Oct. 26 at Ozark Health Medical Center, 2500 U.S. 65 S. The public is invited to view the exhibit during business hours, both upstairs near the cafeteria and in the lower-level outpatient wing. GREENBRIER — The Faulkner County Singing Club will have its traditional October singing at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 13 at Centerville United Methodist Church, 76 Blythe Road in north-central Faulkner County, some 2 miles east of Woolly Hollow State Park. The public is invited to attend.

Still on the Hill Concert

FAIRFIELD BAY — The North Central Arkansas Foundation for Arts and Education will present Still on the Hill in concert from 2-4 p.m. Oct. 13 at the Fairfield Bay Conference Center. Husband-and-wife duo Kelly and Donna Muhollan will perform music from their latest CD, Cane Hill, the result of a project focused on the northwest Arkansas town of Cane Hill. The duo often incorporate facts and tales from Arkansas history into their songs. The concert and parking are free, but donations for future events will be accepted. Still on the Hill will have a selection of their CDs for sale.

KidsFest

RUSSELLVILLE — KidsFest will take place from 5-8 p.m. Oct. 31 at the Hughes Community Center. CONWAY — The Faulkner County Library will host its seventh annual Author Fair from 1-4 p.m. Nov. 16. Russellville Christmas Parade

RUSSELLVILLE — The Russellville Christmas Parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 6. Parade entry forms are available at the Recreation and Parks Department office, 1000 East Parkway, or at www. russellvillearkansas.org.

The entry fee is $25 for a float and $100 for a commercial entry other than a float. All participants must submit an entry form. The deadline to enter is noon Dec. 2. The parade’s rainout date is Dec. 9. For more information, call (479) 968-1272.
