KATIE MARIE SEATON WALLIS FICK, 88, of Jacksonvil­le passed from this life on Thursday, November 7, 2019. Katie was born Monday, February 16, 1931, in Little Rock, Ark., to the late Clay and Katie Annie Burkhead

Seaton. Katie attended Jacksonvil­le schools all of her life. She was an employee of General Telephone Company for thirty years and retired in 1991. She always said the people she worked with were like her family. Katie was a member of the First United Methodist church in Jacksonvil­le and the upper room Sunday school class. She was also a member of the Wesley Circle; Eastern Star #520 in Jacksonvil­le for over fifty years; Jacksonvil­le Lions Club, North Metro Hospital Auxiliary and Jacksonvil­le Garden Club. Katie also helped to establish the first Boys and Girls Club in Jacksonvil­le. She will be missed so much my by her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-one years, Haskel Wallis, husband of seventeen years, John Fick, her only son, Preston Wallis; sister, Polly Douglass; brothers, Henry and Buddy Seaton, and great-grandson, Rhett Wallis. Katie is survived by daughter, Debbie Estes and her husband Robert; daughter-in-law, Brenda Wallis; granddaugh­ters, Shannon Staton and her husband Shannon Joel, Sherrie Niece and her husband Bobby, Shandy Johnsen and her husband Will; grandson, Shane Wallis and his wife Jackie; great-grandsons, Caden Niece, Callen Niece and Spencer Staton; great-granddaugh­ters, Saylor Staton and Paisley Wallis, along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, November 10, 2019, at Moore’s Jacksonvil­le Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Cabot. ROSE M. LEWIS, 74, a native of Little Rock, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2019. She is survived by a sister, May L. Henderson of Oakland, Calif.; nieces, Sharon Solomon Atlanta, Ga.; Cynfrenesi­a Jones (Ron) of Vallejo, Calif.; nephews, Thomas Anderson (Suzette) of Riverside, Calif.; Raymond Henderson (Tracey) of Oakland, Calif.; Stacy Anderson of Miami, Fla.; Christophe­r Anderson of Virginia Beach, Va.; Michael Little, Kenny, Karl, Eric and Kyan Lewis, and a host of relatives and friends. JOYCE H. STEEN, 95, passed away November 6, 2019, in Alabaster, Alabama. Born in Staffordsh­ire, England, to William and Mary Elizabeth Gilbert, she was a member of the Pelham First Baptist Church and a former member of Woodlawn Baptist Church of Little Rock. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas E. Steen, son, John Brent Steen, brother, Jack Gilbert, sister, Lily Kelsall, and grandson, Douglas Starr, she is survived by daughters, Linda McCombs and Mary VanHouten; grandchild­ren, Michael Starr, Laurie Roth, Mary Beth Weldon, Blake Satterfiel­d, Tanya Steen Garrett, Johnathan Steen, Jackie Steen and Paula Allen, and numerous great-grandchild­ren.
