Downtown group hires new director

The Downtown Little Rock Partnership hired a new communications director, the nonprofit announced Wednesday.

Ellen Lampe has more than five years of experience in journalism and communications and most recently worked as communications coordinator for St. Louis County in St. Louis. She’s also worked as a television and print journalist in Little Rock and St. Louis. She holds bachelor’s degrees from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville in journalism and Spanish.

Lampe will replace outgoing communications director Anderson Penix. In the nonprofit’s news release, the St. Louis native said she was excited to begin working for downtown Little Rock.

“With all the amazing people, the events and the new public art, this city has so much to offer, and I’m proud to make it my home,” Lampe said.
