■ “Whimsy and Flights of Fancy” exhibition. Inspired by objects from the Arkansas Arts Center’s “Playing Around: Toys Designed by Artists Collection,” this exhibition at the Southeast Arkansas Arts & Science Center, 701 S. Main St., in Pine Bluff, will pair 3-D sculptures with two-dimensiona­l visual art by Eric Freeman, Katherine Strause and Sherry J. Williamson. The exhibition will run until April 25. A public, opening reception will be held from 5-7 p.m. Feb. 6.

■ To mark the 30th anniversar­y of the Southeast Arkansas Arts & Science Center’s exhibition “New Faces/New Directions: Emerging Pine Bluff Artists,” the center will present “Reunion.” The 1990 exhibition showcased then up-and-coming artists Catherine Burns, Scinthya Edwards, Eric Freeman and James Hayes. The center will again show art by those artists with an exhibition of recent works by Burns and Edwards. Three of Freeman’s works will be in the adjacent “Whimsy & Flights of Fancy” exhibition, and Hayes’ blown-glass sculpture Celebratio­n Chandelier will be on display in the atrium. A public opening reception will be held from 5-7 p.m. Feb. 6 for “Reunion” and “Whimsy & Flights of Fancy.” “Reunion” will be on display Feb. 6-April 18. Sponsored by Relyance Bank.

■ “Live@5 featuring UAPB Jazz Ensemble” will perform from 5-7 p.m. Feb. 7, at the Southeast Arkansas Arts & Science Center, 701 S. Main St., in Pine Bluff. Admission is $5 for Southeast Arkansas Arts & Science Center members and $10 for non-members. Compliment­ary alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided, and guests must be 21 or older to attend. The event is sponsored by M.K. Distributo­rs.

■ “Second Saturday Family FunDay: Fun Art To Fanciful Toy” event will be from 1-3 p.m. at the Southeast Arkansas Arts & Science Center, at 701 S. Main St., in Pine Bluff. Attendees can create fanciful toys inspired by the exhibition “Whimsy & Flights of Fancy” during February’s Family FunDay. This project uses basic materials to design fun and unique toys. Admission is free. Family FunDay is sponsored by the Pine Bluff Area Community Foundation, an affiliate office of the Arkansas Community Foundation Inc.

■ The Sahara Shriners present the Andrews Sisters Dinner & Show at the Sahara Shrine Center, at 820 S. Main St., in Pine Bluff. Doors will open at 6 p.m., dinner is from 6:30-7:30 p.m.. ■ The Port City Blues Society presents Sounds of Blue, featuring live Delta Blues music, a Blues discussion, Blues jam session, artist meetand-greet, cigar box guitar making, and Blues history. The event is open to all ages, and admission is free. Performers include Marcus Mookie Cartwright, Carla Robinson and Bluesboy Jag. Sound of Blues will be at the Freedom and Blues Art Exhibit at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Business Support Incubator, 615 S. Main St., in Pine Bluff, from 1-5 p.m. Funded in part by a grant from Synergy Forum.
