CROSSETT — Dennis Bruce Turner,

age 73, of Crossett, Ark., came into this world on March 1, 1946, and left on January 22, 2020, at the University of Arkansas Medical Center in Little Rock, Ark.

Dennis was born to Drew and Edwina Turner in Crossett, Ark.

Dennis graduated from Crossett High School, broadcasti­ng school in Memphis, Tenn., and Seminary in Dallas, Texas. Dennis worked in the media and held various hospital administra­tion positions, but his true passion was working as a pastor. Dennis began his pastoral career as Assistant Pastor at First Baptist Church in Bridgeport, Texas, and then was Lead Pastor at several churches including First Baptist in Dermott, Ark., First Baptist in Leechville, Ark., 47th Street Baptist Church in North Little Rock, Ark., and served as Interim Pastor at First Baptist in Norphlet, Ark.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Drew Turner and brother, Coleman Turner, both of Crossett, Ark.

Left to cherish his memory, include his mother Edwina Turner of Crossett, Ark.; daughter, Jenner Daniel (David) of Johnson City, Tenn.; son, Bruce Turner of Crossett, Ark.; sister-in-law, Kathy Turner of Crossett; and grandsons, Trevor and Colin Daniel of Johnson City, Tenn.

There will be a memorial service honoring Dennis at 6 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Crossett, Ark., on January 28, 2020. Memories and condolence­s can be shared at www.jonesservi­ce.com. Jones Funeral Home in Crossett is serving the Turner family.
